When my friend first filled up the lantern he over filled it, so it leaked quite a lot. But having realized we started putting a smaller amount of paraffin in it and its been fine since. So I would gladly recommend this lantern.

This is a literal hazard. Worst quality product I've ever bought from Amazon, and that's saying a lot. This is a massive fire hazard and should not be sold as a working product. Every piece comes apart at the slightest nudge. The kerosene chamber leaks. The oxygen levels are completely unadjustable. Buy this only if you're willing to risk your house burning down.

I bought this lantern as I needed it as a prop for a winter scene portraiture session I was doing. It served the job very well for that purpose, but there is no way on earth I'd fill this thing with any kind of lamp fuel and actually light it, it seems way too flimsy for this purpose, even thought it's actually made to be lit. You really can't appreciate this until you have it in your hand and get a feel for the build quality, the pictures may not communicate this, but I'd definitely reserve this for prop use only, and I gave it three stars because it served that purpose as intended and that's all I'd trust it for...

I’ve read the reviews and there not grate but getting this is awesome I’m very pleased is it the best on the market no does it do the job hell yeah I would recommend this and hell yeah it’ll bring a good time does the job

Sweet little lantern very retro.Filled with citronella to keep the midges away

I wouldn't recommend purchasing this if you plan on using it. It's so poorly made the wick wont go up and down. The metal is so thin and deformed. I wouldnt say its safe and the fuel doesn't seal off properly, so potentially a serious fire hazard. It's ok for an ornament, but thats about it.

Easy to use amazing

It seemed rather flimsy but I gave it a go. It wept fuel from the base, slowly but continuously. I hate the bother of sending poor stuff back, so I stripped it down, gave it three coats of Hammerite silver paint, and reassembled it. It's still flimsy but at least it works properly now. So why did I generously award 2 stars? They're not for the product or the supplier, I awarded them to myself for recycling rubbish into a usable product.
