Mom can no longer hear certain tones and we often had to repeat things, she is able to hear us with this device.

I've had hearing issues since I was an infant, but it was mild enough to get by as a kid, learned to read lips as a teenager... I started having much more difficulty hearing my teachers in college (even while sitting at the front row/attempting to lip read), in groups of friends, on the phone, etc. I've recently noticed that my right ear has horrible hearing compared to my left one. I haven't had my hearing checked since elementary school, and since my insurance doesn't help to cover hearing aids if I need them, I thought I would try one of these. I had tried a similar product by a different manufacturer years ago, but they were cheaper and the behind-the-ear type. I didn't like them because of the style/feeling mostly, and they had way too much squealing/feedback. This specific product is more comfortable in my opinion since it doesn't rest on the ear-cartilage and feels like wearing soft earbuds. It is probably noticeable to others/kinda bulky in my ear, but my ability to figure out what people are saying has improved so much that I don't really care.

Sitting just a sixth of an inch from the eardrum, closer than any other hearing aid, it maximizes use of the entire outer ear to capture sound naturally.

I bought this based on some very positive reviews and anxiously awaited arrival. What can I say? It does "amplify" sound so I guess it is "as advertised" in that respect. I had hoped it would allow me to hear tv more clearly. First time out I tried to watch NFL game....OMG...the ONLY thing it seemed to amplify was the background noise and it was even more difficult to understand the guys in the booth doing the game. So I removed from my ear and cranked up the volume. OH well. Suffice it to say I can't recommend this device and consider it a waste of money. Not sure why or how others seem to think this does such a good job...def didn't do anything for me but disappoint.

The ear piece just never fit in my ear properly. Made a ringing noise everytime I put it in my ear. Wasn't sure if this was supposed to make me deaf or amplify my hearing. It was more of a nuisance then anything. Easy return for me.

We tried the different ear sizes and could not get it turned up loud enough for my elderly mother to hear, when you did it would constantly whistle loudly in her ear, no matter what we did, so we had to return it.

I got the hearing aid. It's really nice and cheap. I bought it for my grandpa. In the past two years, I found that my grandpa's hearing was declining. Sometimes I couldn't hear us chatting. He tried the hearing aid, at the beginning there was some resistance, after trying it, he found it was ok, and it was not uncomfortable to hear clearly. Hearing aid quality, service in place.

It seem to be good and working. I was out at a luncheon 1/2 way eating it fell out of my ear but the tip came off in my ear deep down I had to get a nurse to take it out it was painful. All of the tips come off real easy. got my money back
