June 2024 Update: we’ve now been using this briefcase style solar panel for about a year and a half and are still extremely happy with it! We use it whenever we tent camp and go out in the RV. No problems, no issues and so easy to pack and use. Great travel solar panel!UPDATED REVIEW- Amazon promptly replaced the Rockpals Solar Panel and cable and all is well. The cable is in great condition and this unit charges our power station fast, as we were hoping for.ROCKPALS’ Customer Service representative, August, even reached out to me because of my review and pictures and offered to send a replacement cable to make this right; I think it’s wonderful that they watch the reviews and take notice when things aren’t right. I have to recommend this solar panel because of the portability, functionality and the way ROCKPALS stands behind the product….and it looks good!Dec 10 2022 - Received solar panel intended to charge my Jackery portable power station, set it up and took out the wire bundle…NOT GOOD!! See my photos. Amazon has accepted my return, so I will update this review when the replacement arrives, but in the meantime, we’re not happy with the lack of quality control.The panel seems awesome and the portfolio style is great…let’s see what happens.

I purchased the "Upgraded" Rockpals 100w solar panel to run my Jackery 500, in order to keep my ICECO 12V fridge-freezer running while I am camping and to charge other items with me as well. My first trip out with it was a few days ago, and it worked fantastically well! There was a lot of heat and sun, but on the second day was a lot of high cloud cover at times. No worries! This excellent solar panel set kept my Jackery and thus my fridge-freezer cooling right on target! I am THRILLED! Even though it did exceptionally well charging with just the one set of 100w solar panels, I've decided, and just purchased, a second of the Rockpals "Upgraded" 100w solar panels, just in case of more consistent cloudy weather on future trips, and to easily charge up other items as needed.I set the solar panels up in the dirt and small gravel parking slot where my car for my campsite was, and it was so easy to set up! I opened my back passenger window just enough to run the cable through to my Jackery and 12v fridge in the car. It was perfect! Another great thing about it is that it folds back up so nice and tidy and slim, to slip behind the driver's seat. "Easy-peasy"! I also really like that it is waterproof and very well designed and made to ensure that it is.

The media could not be loaded. I really like the portable suitcase design and quality of the materials. I got them to pair but the combined power never exceeded 100 watts on my Jackery. About the same as my single Rockpals solar single solar panel. Not sure why. Sun was strong and in cloudy. I do like the support legs and weather resistance. 65 W is the max ive gotten so far.

Great panels. Charge phones / power banks fast with USB ports. Charging solar generators is a breeze and works great. Can connect panels in series or parallel (need 2). Attractive, well made. Sturdy.Kickstands are great! Only thing I’d change is to add at least one more kickstand. I use wooden blocks to Prop up where needed so the panels are completely flat. When it gets late in the day, I use those same blocks pictured as they can stand the panels upright more than the built in lock stands. Only way to fix that would be to design a kickstand that can extend down when you need to prop the panels more upright.Can stand a little rain / dew on panels. Storage pocket and Included cables with Anderson powerpole connectors and adapter for most needs are great. Includes y parallel cable. Would defiantly recommend these portable / foldable solar panels for car / RV camping / boondocking. Very good price on sale when I purchased.

Okay, okay, I DO like this attaché sized folding solar panel. It has some heft that one may not expect for its size but very manageable. I purchased the 100 watt version that can be combined with a second panel for my portable battery power solution. In direct sun I am seeing 21 VDC at nearly 5 amps to my Renogy controller. I am only charging a set of 12.8V, 18amp LiFePO batteries wired in parallel that have built in BMS controllers. Everything seems to be working well but I have not had a chance to do a full load and recharge test.The panel comes with two cables, one to connect to commercially available “solar generators” and has a variety of connectors. The second cable is a ‘Y’ cable with Anderson connectors on all three ends. The stated purpose of the second cable is to connect a second panel but since I only have one, at this time, I use it on the load side to feed power from the charge controller to the battery and to feed power to my ham radio.Now my bugaboo. The instruction manual says that the solar panels are waterproof but DO NOT leave it in the rain!? Okay, I can see that the connection box on the back does not appear to be waterproof and has an open USB charging port without a cap but it should be more clearly stated that it is not a waterproof device. I will purchase a second panel but thought others should know.The other point is that when propped up on the built-in feet, the panel can only partially support the parts without feet. It of course can just be laid flat on the ground or table and has nice grommets to hang up or string between trees or tents.
