These are gorgeous however they're super thin and don't protect your table from messes. Any little thing you spill goes straight through the mat. I think these serve as decoration purposes only.

I think the photos speak for themselves - they were taken the very same day I received them. I understood all the negative feedback about them not protecting the table due to liquid spills but I thought that the "Heat-resistant material to 300° F" would be able to protect the table from the microwaved bowl of pasta that I carried to the table with bare hands and ate out of (so I know it was nowhere near 300°). The bowl left noticeable indented rings on the placemat - meaning their appearance won't hold up past Day 1. And, clearly, ruined my table. I had been using cloth placemats until this point but, with the new puppy deciding they were very tasty, thought I'd switch to something less appetizing. I've never had this issue with cloth mats. I am SUPREMELY disappointed in this product and very sad for my table. I will be returning them. And for the record - they are not even in the realm of being non-slip.

Very pretty and easy to clean. They take a long time to dry though as the water stays trapped in the weave and drips onto the table. Also not as protective of my wood table as I would like as any food with liquid content, or liquid dripped on them will also seep through onto the table you wish to protect. So very beautiful but not the best at protection.

I wanted the placemats for use at the kitchen counter and they look great! Just received them yesterday and they are easy to clean and can stand heat from the served food on a plate without leaving a mark.Cannot say yet about durability.BUT they should be packed with cardboard inserts to maintain the shape during transit to prevent bending, thus leaving a mark, as some reviewers have also mentioned. It was shipped in a white plastic envelope. I was surprised when I opened it. See the picture. A crease left across the the mats (all 4 of them). Also some corners were bent and have left marks. The weave is thin and easy to bend and obviously leaves marks.I hope the vendor corrects the way these are being shipped because the placemats are nice for everyday use.I gave them 4 stars because of the condition in which they were received.

I love these. The colors are indescribable like incandescent trees in a forest. I love the little sheen in the Border. They look real yet wike up easily.I place them on top of a beautiful high-quality also vinyl tablecloth. They were so pretty that between uses I set the table and keep it sent until the next use which, because I am single can be quite a stretch. Two benefits - - the table always looks pretty when it's set, and no other male or laundry or other items get stacked on the table so it always looks nice in that room now. I highly recommend these.

I have glass on my table, so discolouring the wood isn’t an issue, but I don’t like the way dished clink on the glass. I prefer cloth placemats, but I also prefer something that doesn’t need washed after every meal. These are an excellent compromise. They don’t feel like the thick padded plastic placemats of my childhood. They can easily be carried to the sink and rinsed off, or even soaked if necessary. I’m not sure how much heat protection they would provide. Probably adequate for a plate of warm food, but I would be hesitant to place a hot dish or pan on it. I anticipate these having a long life.

I have never bought vinyl placemats before. We had them when I was a kid, and I associate them with sticky elbows. But I wanted to replace the heavy duty plastic shelf liner paper (the kind with ridges that can also be used in the fridge) with something a bit dressier for an exposed shelf in my kitchen. So I got these in gold.They are great. They are thin and they are flexible. And yes, they are elegant. The two tone color comes from using the reverse side as decorative elements on the opposite side. It's your choice which side to display. It's almost like they cut and sewed the different sides of the material into a design. When I first pulled them out of the box I thought they were a lattice weave with holes, but there are no holes. They just give that appearance because they are so thin. And they are incredible grippers too.

I love the mats, how easy it is to clean and when something spills most of it gets caught in the mat very little soaks through to the table. The mats look really nice on the table, love the look and style, but I don’t like that it states slip resistance or anti slip and the mats move very easily, bascially all over my table. I was looking forward to anti slip because of my kids when they get off and on the table placemats slip all the time. I gave it 3 stars mainly for that anti slip reason. It states it but it’s not the case.

These are really good, especially considering the price. They sit well and don’t move about even on my glass top table, they are very easy to clean, just move under a running tap and then wipe with a kitchen sponge or tissue paper and job done.

I ordered these mats in grey a while ago and they were fantastic however I ordered the same mats in brown and they came today..they were in a massive box. and yet the mats were all rolled up in plastic packaging ..it’s impossible to get the creases out and I’m so disappointed as I really don’t know how to make them flat again!!!! Who thought it would be a great idea to roll up placemats like a newspaper?!
