Perfect.
Exactly what I was hoping for. A good, crunchy, bluesy sound. It is a little louder than the stock pickup but not so much that it doesn't match the stock neck and middle pickups. Highly recommended.

Great vintage hot pickup
Bought this to drop into a PRS SE CU24. The stock PRS pickups sounded... weird. The neck pickup is okay, but the bridge sounded like a blanket was over the highs(it was more subtle than the tone control).A lot of people had talked about the highs being shrill and it being ideal for a Les Paul due to the scale length/bridge balancing that out so I gotta say I was concerned ordering it because the tremolo... and if I’m being honest, the tone is amazing. It’s got a nice “grit” to it when you dig in. It is absolutely the sound I had in my head. The highs aren’t bad, it’s got good lows and mids, and it has a nice sweet sound. Tons of dynamics. You want blues? You got it. Classic rock? You bet. It’ll even do a decent VH and some more modern stuff if you want to(although it definitely isn’t ideal for that). All in all, if you’re looking for a sweet sounding vintage-hot pickup for classic rock/blues, look no further.Note - I’ve had this pickup in the guitar for about 3 weeks so you’re not hearing “first night honeymoon” raves. It still continues to impress me every time I plug it in.

Fantastic tone, screws could be better....
For the pickup and the way it sounds, I would give this pickup 5 stars. The mounting screws were a bit of a pain, but I got through it. I mounted this in an American Strat and the screws were too long, so I had to cut them down to about 3/4" long. Evidently, they are #3-48 screws and are about 1.75" long. I am sure they fit fine in a Gibson guitar, they just bottom out in a Strat body before the pickguard is completely seated in the guitar's body. They are also slotted screws which made it difficult to start the screw into the pickup's mounting hole with all the tension from the spring. If installing this in a Fender Strat, it's easier to remove the volume pot to make more room to work with the spring. Once installed, adjustments were easy, though I would have still preferred a cross head type screw so I did not have to switch screw drivers when adjusting pickups. All that aside, the pickup sounds magnificent! It is well worth the small, extra effort.

Clearatiy with some nice growl!
Stuck it in and played some old Van Halen, a ZZ Top. Exactly what I wanted. Best pick up I've heard!

Amazing tone, versatile, and gorgeous
Replaced the stock bridge PU in my Fender Player Plus strat, green burst. The gold is strikingly beautiful, but the real kicker is the tones. Played it through a Fender Twin Reverb and alternated pedals: Tumnus Deluxe, Blues Driver, Big Muff, Rat, and a Waza Fuzz. Sustain for days, tight bass with mids and highs that cut through, pinch harmonics are a breeze on any string. Hit the boost and it slams the amp into gritty but defined distortion. I can't recommend enough.

Fit perfectly in my guitar
I had it installed in my Chinese built Ibanez Iceman. It made it sound so much better. Paul Stanley uses only the bridge pickup anyway. The neck is just for show. This pickup is perfect for classic rock.

This pickup sounds incredible
I took a $500 guitar with a SSH configuration and replaced all of the electronics with Custom Shop quality components and this is the pickup I chose for the bridge position. I wanted something that retained that vintage sound but with a little more oomph. This was the perfect choice. I am now hearing sounds that I hear on my favorite artists recordings. I couldn't be happier with the tone that I am getting. I like it because I can drop the volume back a bit and get a really nice clean tone suitable for any style but when I max it out everything kicks into overdrive without being muddy. I highly recommend this pickup if you are playing classic or southern rock.
