Q: Does the alarm stop ringing after a set amount of time if you don’t turn it off?

The alarm will stop ringing after approximately 50 minutes, unless you turn it off.

Q: When I flip the switch to turn the alarm on, it rings non stop until i flip the alarm switch back to off. How do i set the alarm properly?

We got rid of that it was a terrible clock ! It would ring and ring even when it was off

Q: Does it have a timer if I wanted to use it in kitchen for setting an hour for example? Or 30 minutes?

That is not really the purpose of this clock. It's an alarm clock. I guess you technically could try to re-set it for 30 or 60 minutes later but I am not sure that you can set it spot-on. There is a pin on the back of the clock that you rotate to set the time. This is not digital.

Q: What metal specifically is the frame made of? Iron? Tin? Aluminum?

I know it's not made of iron. The clock is made up of metal and plastic...this clock keeps time really well and is totally silent which was one of the main selling points of this clock because i suffer from major noise sensitivity.
