Another good read
The only single thing I can say about JR is ive read so many of his books it's nearly impossible for me to keep track of what I have and what I need to read next.

great read
Good ending but not the best it could’ve been, and I love Jeremy Robinson for that. once again the man delivers action and thoughtful introspection. In today’s age of phasing out faith and ignoring their values, the goodness in their base lessons they teach us can’t be ignored.

NPC will challenge your assumptions
It is hard to describe a standout novel without raising comparisons. Oh, NPC's... it's like Ready Player One, right? No. Simulated reality: like the Matrix? No. Religion and main character who is a Pastor: it's gotta be preachy and drop some morals on me, right? Nope. What this novel does is two things. ONE: it takes a rather terrifying and gruesome serial murderer (looking at you murder podcast fans!), pits it against some cutting edge technology (c'mon in, sci-fi fans!), and squares up with a Pastor who is angry at God (hey Christian readers: you're either gonna love this or hate this). TWO: It makes you question everything.Throughout the story you are never quite sure if being in the simulation is something real, or the delusions of a madman. The characters are perfectly flawed enough that you care about them, until you ask yourself "well, do I REALLY need to care about this person? They're probably and NPC and not actually real so..."That's about when you realize the question is a REALLY GOOD question. This belongs on the top shelf for me. To clarify, I like all sorts of fiction and a wide variety of writing. But if you can give me a compelling character, put them in a situation that challenges my assumptions, and keep the pace moving so there are regular WTF moments that force me to keep reading... Yeah, you got me hooked. If you are on the fence, here's my advice: stop reading the reviews and take the plunge. Reviewers will never be able to tell the story like a master storyteller, and besides: who wants to make up their mind based on what someone else says is good for you? Life firsthand, make you own choice. If you like it as much as I did, take the time to leave a review.

Stay with it!
Started a bit slow because I don't have any desire to try and get in the mind of a serial killer...but...it took me there via a pastor's moral musings so I was hooked. Having read Michael Newton's books and a whole lot of Edward Cayce, I was open to the idea that this world is just an illusion as the Mayans believed. So, for this author to present it as a computer simulation was not hard to follow. This book was extremely entertaining, extremely thought provoking and engendered a desire to read more of his books like this. I was already a fan but now I will download the other books by Jeremy Robinson I haven't read because I do like reading other "real" humans' perceptions as spiritual beings experiencing a physical existence on this world's stage.

Another Winner by Jeremy Robinson
What if life, the world, and the entire universe are just computer simulations, and the majority of people nonplayer characters (NPCs)? Samael believes this to be true and will go to any length to prove his theory.Ezekiel the pastor has been searching for meaning ever since the death of his wife. He and Samael cross paths and before long he too is believing that we’re living in a computer simulation. Through this, he finds his God and a reason to go on.There are certainly indications that they are right. However, I prefer to interpret the book to reflect that they were both psychotic and what they saw were artifacts from the implants and/or their break from reality into a shared delusion. After all, no one else saw what they saw.As with all books by Jeremy Robinson, the writing is first-rate and the characters varied, complex, and interesting. The pages really flew by and I was up reading until late at night. I greatly enjoyed this book and heartily recommend it. By the way, the idea that we are living in a simulation isn't as far fetched as you might think. Physicists and philosophers have not come to a conclusion. If you are interested, Google "Are we living in a computer simulation."

Who would have thought...
Who would have thought I'd find personal healing from this novel. So I very hardly ever write reviews for books, especially ones that I'm only 56% of the way through...but this is no ordinary book.First off, I've read books from this author since I was a teen. I think I've maybe only missed one or two of his books and trust me...i will fix that soon. I love how he writes and the stories that flow are so incredibly entertaining and mind consuming that i honestly end up on such a book high afterwards. What impresses me so much with this novel is how with it, he is. I use words such as cray cray and totes on a daily basis and so when I literally read those words from one of his characters...it just made my day. Jeremy gets it.And with that. The real reason I love this novel.I love. Love how he addresses loss in regards to personal faith. As a Christian I was always taught that it was wrong to feel angry at God and or that you can't express negative emotion when life deals a heavy blow. The way Ezekial feels about the loss of his wife, the way he still mourns her, agonizes over her death and is just so angry and bleak, honestly comforted me in a way nothing has. I too lost someone close to me and I was so so angry at God for the unfairness of it. The realness of Ezekials pain was a balm for me. Jeremy did an amazing job with this story and I thank him for it.

Is life real
With a masterful blend of theology, science fiction and history, you are left with a lingering question about our reality: is life a simulation? Is it real?I enjoyed watching the Pastor struggle with his own faith while simultaneously acknowledging the truth of science and striking a blend between the two. What I didn't like was how the Pastor had a background as a Marine. The trope of having your main character have a background of a military man or woman in order to explain their badassery is a Cliche that is overused in books and in Hollywood.Aside from the aforementioned, excellent read and very thought provoking.

Is life a simulation? Maybe, but it's not the Matrix.
As a long time fan of this author, i always begin his books with a certain trepidation, nervous that this will be the book that i don't enjoy. This is not the book, as is usually the case, there is action, laugh out loud humour, and mind bending plot twists....but what takes centre stage in this book, is his ability to make a person think. The delivery of the story encouraged me to think along with the characters, as they battled with their beliefs and doubts, and empathise with their struggles and become emotionally invested. Combine all of the above, with a healthy dose of pop culture, attention to detail, and sudden light-bulb moments...i thought it was a really well executed book.

Great read!
I'm reading the infinite timeline series and I'm absolutely in love with the way the worlds meld into each other and the surprise character appearances! Another amazing story and world to explore!
