Got this 6 months ago for my chinese 80w laser. I don't operate it full time, only when i need to (4-6 times a week for about an hour or so each session). I live in the mid-Atlantic, so heat and humidity are an issue. I would suggest getting some insulated hoses for supply/return lines to reduce condensation. There were no instructions on how to operate, so you'll need to find some videos (it isn't intuitive). It isn't quiet, would NOT recommend for a home office but definitely don't need hearing protection (garage or workshop is perfect). The only real design issue is that the water gauge is in the back. It doesn't leak, but you'll need to be able to pull away from wall to occasionally check water level and when filling. The low water sensor DOES work (had a hose break in the laser, not chiller) and got very loud alarms. I keep mine running at around 15C (takes about 5 minutes to get down to temp) in a shop that is about 80-85F and it works perfectly and consistently. I have no regrets getting this one over the 3000 series. worth the money in the long run.

Delivery was fast, and it arrived in good shape. (Always a good thing)The chiller does a great job keeping up with the 130w. 5 stars based on the quality of the unit and how well it marries with the OMTech 130w system.The instructions however, are less than adequate. Emphasis needs to be made on how to access the menu, and how to change settings. The fact that you cannot do a simple temperature setting out-of-the-box is troubling. The default settings are NOT optimal for your laser cutter - they are too high.Once you have an understanding of how to program this, it is a good machine and well built. There are videos online that you can use to learn how to set it.oh yeah password default is 8 ..why put a password on a chiller????

setup and working, not really any instructions but found videos on youtube for setting up. so far it's working good but haven't use it for very long. will update if needed after I use it for a while longer.

Bought this unit and since day one it will turn for 30 seconds, then flashes error code e6 and stops pumping until water bleeds back into the unit. Followed the minuscule directions with no luck to correct. The water fill cap does not have a gasket which may be the issue but I’ve not had any luck getting support from the seller or Amazon. Very disappointed and do not recommend this unit.

Giving credit where it's due.. We originally bought the "CW-3000" chiller which was not really a chiller but an ambient temperature cooler. Not nearly enough cooling power for our Monport 80W CO2 laser. We contacted Monport about it and they promptly refunded our money and gave us recommendations to get this CW-5200DH chiller. The CW-5200 does everything they say it does, easy to install and configure. We are very satisfied with its performance and value for the money.

This is a bit different review as I returned this unit. It was not big enough for my project. The quality of the chiller was amazing though! The chiller ran great, just didn't have enough water pressure to satisfy my needs (I am using it for an industrial induction Melter not a laser.). The other alternatives were 3 times the price! I just ordered the 6000AN larger model which should work fine for my needs.The most important reason for the 5 start review is that the communication was excellent through the whole process. Even with the return they were great in responding and helping me pick the larger unit. I would definitely recommend!

The original chiller had an issue but the after purchase support was very good and with some minor troubleshooting we determined the cause. It is a high quality and great chiller and should be good for years of use.

Much better than a cooler full of water and ice bottles. I use it with my laser. Set up was kind of hard for me (programming) but you can get through it. Doesn't seem user friendly but you only have to do it once.
