Test was uncomplicated and accurate!
I have been wanting to confirm my blood type for sometime but not wanting to take the time to go to a lab and wait in line, or pay 50 bucks. I noted some people considered the test instructions difficult to follow, as well as determining the results I personally found it quite simple, and think you will too. Here are a few additional pointers if you’re interested.1. Read through the instructions carefully once2. Read through instructions a 2nd time while setting out the equipment for each step.3. Follow everything step-by-step.I placed all my equipment on a paper plate (bleed easily) and had a paper towel handy. Also, if you’re bleeder, you may want to have a Band-Aid handy.Open, and lay out the dried blood spot collection card. Separate the 4 tiny white plastic blood collectors. Pour a very small amount of water into a little container and collect water into the sm pipette. Remove the stopper from the lancet (This was a bit difficult. Just give it a wiggle and pull hard straight out.) and set it aside. Clean the inside portion a finger with the provided alcohol pad, I used my L ring finger (I’m R handed). While your finger’s drying, (avoid touching it) gently place 1 sm drop of water from the pipette into the center (circle of color reagent) of each of the 4 circles where the water beads will remain. Next, place the lancet gently to the inside of the alcohol prepped finger and gently pushed down until you hear a click and feel a prick. Next, pick up one of the small white blood collectors and place (side with the tiny hole) to the blood drop forming on your finger. Then quickly but gently lay the blood tip of the collector into one one of the beads of water in the center of one of the circles and leave it while Repeating these steps using a new collector, for each spot. Once all 4 plastic blood collectors are laying in each bead of water, in ea one of the circles, starting with the 1st spot, gently lift the narrow end of the blood collector, and gently circle the blood and water spreading it to fill your first blood spot. Continue with the remaining 3 spots. I could tell immediately what my result was when doing this because I I already had an expectation of what it was to be. However, there are additional directions such as tipping, the card, etc. that you’ll want to follow for accuracy.Hopefully these additional pointers prove somewhat helpful!

A bit quirky but that may be my fault
I thought I knew my blood type, but whenever I asked at the Dr's office they said I had to run a special test to confirm it and the test isn't covered under most insurance. I used to give blood, but have not been able to do so for many years because I lived in England during the mad cow outbreak. So, I thought this would be a good thing to use. I opened it up and it all seemed ok, but I had some serious problems with the lancet. I kept trying to pull it out and finally broke it. Then I re-read the instructions and you are supposed to turn it before trying to open the thing. Needless to say, I wasn't able to use it, but I do think it should be emphasized more. Or, maybe I should read the instructions??In any event, I got a needle, steralized it and then tried to poke my finger. It took a long time and I didn't get a lot of blood, but eventually I got enough to do the test. The results came out and I believe I got the right result (it confirmed what I had remembered), but that part of the process could be improved. I only gave it 4 stars because the chart is a bit difficult to read.

Accurate Blood Testing Without Selling Your Blood!
I'm currently 6 months pregnant, and I'm going through a midwife for my services. She needed to know me and my husband's blood type to be able to determine if I needed the RhoGAM shot. I was honestly dreading it. I do not like having big medical companies getting a hold of my blood or DNA and honestly would rather avoid it. Hearing my concerns, she recommended this brand to me, so I ordered two kits to test our blood type. We held onto them for about two months before actually testing because I just cannot get over pricking myself. She came over last month and tested our blood. Turns out, my husband and I are the exact same blood type! No RhoGHAM shots! Woohoo! We were so happy with the outcome of the tests. It was super easy to follow the instructions. It even comes with a QR code you can scan on your phone and a how-to video pops up to help guide you along. There are other women in my friend group that feel the same way about blood companies, and so I've recommended this test to them as well.

Easy and convenient
We didn't know my (adult, autistic) son's blood type, which of course is important information, so I was glad to find this affordable, at-home kit. The directions are very clear and the process is relatively easy, the kit has everything you'll need except a bandage to apply to the pricked finger after testing. My son was nervous about the finger stick, but the lancet was very quick and effective and he said he didn't even feel it. The test card worked exactly like the directions indicated it would and now we know he is A+

Check immediately!!!
I only just now opened mine, got it august 2024(procrastination/needles) no water dropper and 2 pokers that didn't surpass the point to get to ur finger. So both unusable Incase that was unclear. Used a spray bottle open enough to drip yet I think there was too much of a drop on each..then I have poked myself SEVERAL times with an exacto knife and then several more with a push pin. Got one drop of blood out of all, with no more to do the rest of the circles. I am soooooo pissed this really sucks Cas there's no way it worked and I've waited so long and found out they didnt send any working equipment as well as missing equipment. Wasted money, I am so annoyed! My luck with Amazon purchases is insanely underwelming. Good luck everyone else
