Audio training works
CDs are still my favorite form of education. No software to loose your place. No sluggish waiting on the cloud. And I can save my eyes by closing them and concentrating on the material. The subject matter of the CDs is also amazing. This was very well done. The audio recording includes the links, also.

Good as a reference, but isn’t enough for PMP prep…
Easy to understand and good as a desktop reference for a practitioner. If preparing for PMP, I suggest using it for specific purposes, such as to get a better understanding of WBSs & Gantt charts. It doesn’t follow PMBOK well enough to be a stand-alone study guide for the exam. Use something like Ramdayal’s book instead.

Required Textbook for UC Berkeley PM Program
a great all-inclusive book that covers just about every topic of PM. It is a required textbook for the initial PM 101 course, so there's something to be said about the quality of its contents there. The book has online case study resources for each section as well as end-of-chapter quiz questions to review important PMBOK test questions. If you are just getting into PM or are an established PM looking for a refresher, this text should be a good resource for you.

Build or refine your project management skills with "The Fast Forward MBA in Project Management."
The sixth edition of “The Fast Forward MBA in Project Management” by Eric Verzuh is an excellent read for anyone involved in project management, from the novice to the experienced project manager. The information is presented in an easy-to-read and relatable manner with many great examples from various industries. I can see why universities and corporate trainers use it to teach project management skills. The book covers a lot of ground, so it would be great to keep it handy as a reference when preparing for and completing projects.I am not studying for the PMP exam; however, I liked that “The Fast Forward MBA in Project Management” includes PMP exam preparation questions at the end of the chapters to see if I grasped the information presented. Although I never held the title of project manager, I have led many IT projects for a small organization. The downloadable forms provided would have been helpful when completing those projects. The insight provided will help me fine-tune my project management skills. I give the book 5 out of 5 stars.

Covers it all!
As someone who has an MBA in project management, I can tell you this book does a fantastic job of laying it all out for you in great detail. As a fellow author, I can attest that Eric's style is easy to follow and he provides a website listed in his book for the reader to download highly useful templates. From the first 15 pages, with his practical checklist for successful projects, all the way through the various chapters with real-world project success stories, this is a great desk reference for the everyday, busy, professional project manager. With 40+ years of experience as a project manager under my belt, I can safely say - get this book - it will be an invaluable tool.

Great Foundational Material
The topics and project management areas discussed within this text are excellent and provide a solid foundation for newcomers to the field, and as well, refresher material for practitioners. My only issue, is the lack of discussion of more topical issues which are impacting upon the field and as well, being impacted by the field.

Delivers on expectations, wonderful no-nonsense tone. One of the best comprehensive ones out their.
I'm in HR/IT, transitioning to take on a fairly large cloud implementation project as a project manager. For that, I thought it worthwhile to review and brush up on the latest and greatest in PM. Did some research on the many books out there and decided on this one. Already in a couple of chapters; it's fantastic and apart from the superb content and structure, it oozes servant leadership between the lines on every page. It covers much ground and depending on what angle you're reading it from, it serves as a primer, a refresher, a reference. A wonderful example of a really useful book to ramp up on overall business acumen, as well. If you're only remotely close to PM - who isn't these days? - highly recommended.
