GM Chevy 8.5" Chevy 10-Bolt Rearend Posi - 28 Spline, Gear, Bearing Kit Package - 3.73 Ratio

Works well/good bang for your buck!I put this in my 1988 GMC Jimmy (full size) 4WD with the 8.5 10 bolt rear end with 28 spline axles.The stock differential I had in my Jimmy had an open end diff. I have had this vehicle for 20+ years and I had always assumed that being a 4WD it was posi to begin with, but it the stock one I had was not.This came with everything I needed for the rear end and was BONUS that it is a good price for complete setup...local rear end shop in my area wanted over $600.00 for just the ring gear, pinion gear, bearings/seals with NO posi unit....!I went ahead and bought (separately) the hub axle bearings/seals from my local parts store.Good price! Worth the money....I do recommend that if you have never done something like this, or have the right tools....it's more cost effective for you to buy this kit, then just pay someone the labor to put it all in for you....if I would have bought this total kit from my local shop, they would have probably charged me close to or over $1,000.00 just for this kit you can buy online...

Works great I tripple checked the gear alignment and tripple checked all torque specs and installed the cover added fluid took it for a drive, made alot of whining at first, but after driving it and stopping to let it cool off and doing break it. It got quieter and quieter and now only makes noises on turns which it will cause it has to unlock. Great product thank you! Now time will tell how long it'll last!

Took it too a reputable rear end shop.. they spent countless hours trying to get the gears to mesh properly but to no end I had to purchase new gears. The posi unit was good though…

As advertised great kit everything you’ll need had to use OEM shims but no big deal

I put this rear end kit in my 1985 Chevrolet K 10 after break-in it’s a smoking rear end love it Definitely a bang for the buck and really good quality

Yukon lsd works great and customer support was quick to answer questions. The gear is pretty noisie however I believe the shop didn't set it up properly. I'll post back once I have a chance to pull cover and double check clearances.

Very mean and reliable works great. Puts alot more power to the ground unlike the original rearend on my 73 el camino. Meant to take the power I'm pusing out. Very powerful and strong.

Welp I got this installed and got to enjoy it for about 2 weeks. I had a non-posi 2.74 setup in my Nova before this and I had no idea just how much different this would be.Unfortunately it was a little too much fun and I broke my motor. Also make sure you realize that your speedo will need to be adjusted - this change made mine off by 19mph!
