oversized and not closed eye?
the hook is a novelty size, as intended. but the eye was not welded together properly, the sad attempt at a spot weld is visibly cracked. I would be disappointed if i hooked something on this and the eye were to come apart...

No idea if it’s good for real fishing but a great looking decoration
Bought this for my boy who loves watching deep sea fishing videos. It’s solid, heavy, and very sharp. No clue if it’s real deep sea fishing quality but it’s a nice addition to a fishing themed room

Almost too small
Used this to catch monster bluegill at Jed Johnson lake at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Area and it worked great! With my 16 foot surf rod, Penn 10500 reel and 80 lb test braided line, I was impressed with the hooks ability to attract world class monster blue gill. Highly recommend!
