Bedroom Alarm Clock Radio

Great little clock radio. Two main things I wanted this for: it's dimmable, and it can charge two devices. I have one backup phone I use for overhead shots in my videos and needed an easy way to keep it juiced up without needing an adapter. I also frequently have to charge my keylight for photos, so this worked out great. I've been using an old clock from the 90's on my desk anyway. Figure I could replace it AND have easy access to my USB. I've attached it to my desk with some velcro. Keeps it in place when I'm plugging in different cables. Glad I got one with two ports. Note: This isn't "fast charging", but it works just fine keeping my phones juiced up while I'm recording. Been using it about a week and don't have any problems. Radio sounds good, and it picks up all the local stations when you've got the antennae extended. I like that it has a headphone jack, too. No fancy DAC, just a regular headphone output, but it works well. Great little clock for the price. Decent features, small form factor, and it just looks really nice.

I didn't read the entire description correctly. I thought the light for the time would go off and I could press a button if I wanted to see the time during the night. The light does go fairly low but I'm bothered by the slightest light and so I turn down the face of the clock even on the lowest light during the night. The clock has nice levels of light and setting the time and alarm are really easy. The DST button is a nice bonus. No need to reset the time. It's a perfect size for me. Given the time is easy to see, I am better able to manage my time in the morning when trying to get ready to leave for work.

I broke my alarm and just quickly bought this one to replace it. Wasn't really expecting much - it's just a simple clock radio, but I have come to really appreciate the features it has that my prior one did not have. Namely the ability to push any button and it turns the alarm off, without having to make sure I hit the correct button so I don't change any settings (for snooze you do have to hit the right button though). Another option is when you shut it off this way, it still leaves the alarm on for the next day without having to turn it on every night when I go to bed. The last plus I'll mention is the brightness of the display has three different settings, so it can meet anyone's needs. It's small and doesn't take up a lot of space, and the radio reception is very good. You can't go wrong with this one!

While the alarm clock works well and the light intensity can be varied, it seems to lose power with a power surge when other plugged in items don't. Also, resetting the time or alarm is a pain since 2 buttons have to be pushed at Exactly the same time, which for me means trying multiple times to make a change.

Got this a few weeks ago to replace one I've had for several years. It still worked (mostly), but annoyingly lost time and was nearly impossible to reset. This one has the same functionality, but it's super simple to adjust anything. Nice touches like a dimable display for sleeping, and when I use the alarm to wake up, I can hit almost any button to silence it. That's a neat feature that I'd never thought of! Some complain about the dinky wire radio antenna, but I just draped it partway up my bedside lamp and gets NPR just fine. (I haven't tried any other stations.) If you're going to move the radio around a lot, that would be a disqualifier.

For about $20, this is a great clock radio. It's easy to set and easy to read, with a useful dimmer switch and daylight savings switch. I love having the 2 USBs handy to charge my phone and watch. It even has a digital tuner that seeks the next station and displays the station number, so no more fiddling with little tuner dials and guessing what station it's on like on my old clock radio.

Nice display and OK for the price, but the sound is mediocre. The speaker is on the left side and the right panel is just made to match the speaker. The controls are easy to use, but don't seem that solid. Manufacturers don't make clock radios like the used to. I still have a nice solid Radio Shack 25-year old radio that still works well. This and other current cheap radios do not compare at all. I would be happy to pay more for a good quality clock radio, but there does not seem to be many being made.

Great little clock radio. Compact design that’s very attractive. Has all the bells and whistles: DST, easy time/alarm set, backup batteries do the job, and decent sound. Has a three-tap dimmer switch that’s easy to use to adjust nighttime lighting. Everything I was looking for.
