Comfy. Note these are actual suede and not suitable for wet weather. Earlier ones were shiny outside, so a little rain didn't matter. These are soft outside and would go off-colour if wet/mucky. They are wide fitting. Summer/office shoe.

Shoes purchased for my elderly father who due to being partially sighted struggles now with laces. An easy velcro-type strap fitted the brief perfectly and my father found them to be a good fit, comfortable and easy to wear. He would recommend Hush Puppies to anyone out there, who is looking for quality footwear 100%.

Unlike most in the Hush Puppies range, this model shoe is not wide fitting. I was glad of that since the fit was great. A little on the tight side but leather stretches and with a few wears these will be perfect. Made from leather with a rubber sole, the velcro fastening is quite large and fastens firmly. During the times I have worn these, the velcro hasn't moved at all. Indeed, aside from feeling a little tight (being new) they are extremely comfortable. There is a memory foam insole but, to be honest, I didn't notice much effect from this, unlike a more expensive pair of Hush Puppies I have from their range. But that didn't affect walking. I am aware that earlier reviewers have not liked the quality of these shoes and show how theirs have worn down and broken in a short time. I have not experienced that at all, mine still look as good and new as they did when I took them out of the box, and I am still pleased with my purchase. Naturally, if anything negative should turn up in the near future I will return and edit this review but, at the moment, I am very satisfied.

Really comfortable and a good fit. I take UK size 9 with a wide fitting. Uppers are like the original Hush Puppies of the '60's, real suede leather. Soles are grippy and well cushioned. Price was excellent, about half what Clarks are asking for similar shoes which aren't as well made nowadays.

I have had caspers twice before.Easy to put on,comfortable lightweight shoes.The new pair are not identical to the old ones.The inside sole differs but seem equally comfortable.

They are OK and reasonable value for the money paid.
