Sweese 242.101 Drink Coasters Set of 6, Ceramic Marble Coasters with Absorbent Cork Base for Glass, Cups

Really nice coasters. They are heavy with a thick ceramic tile and soft cork underside. The finish on the top is flat and sealed but has a natural finish as opposed to a 100% smooth finish. These design attributes mean it is difficult for the wet underside of a cup to get a suction seal. Whereby the coaster is stuck to the bottom of the cup when to take a swig of coffee, then clattering to the floor. Also these coasters have a large diameter. So even if you like a big mug of tea, in a pint mug, they will sit well on the coaster. Not hanging over the edge which can be annoying. The designs on these are original and a lot of fun. On arrival it was obvious these were great quality. Therefore I immediately ordered a second pack. Usually would not write this much. But these are suprisingly good.

The patterns and colour intensity are lovely making an attractive ornament as well as a very functional coaster. The ceramic top is solid and quite weighty but with the cork backing perfectly safe on any surface. They are very stable and a good size for mugs, pint pots or virtually any drinking vessel. The overall finish is very high quality. The top surface wipes clean easily and with cold drinks and hot weather the condensation dose not pool on the coaster. How annoying it is when you lift your glass and the coaster stays with it until you tip the glass and then it slides of and breaks or damages something else! This does not happen with these coasters. Highly recommended!

I love this Sweese coaster set. The quality is fantastic and well made. Each coaster is slightly different with the marbling effect. The marble effect is a grey blue colour so will go with most colour schemes and fit well in any room. The coasters are a matt porcelain with a cork backing so they don’t slip. They are very easy to clean too. The texture is similar to a slate/stone and they look fantastic as a stand too when the shapes are pieced together.They are a lovely little set and would make a great gift as well. I would definitely recommend them.

The design is nice, but cheaply applied. There is a base coat spray that was all over the off-white edges of the ceramic - on all designs. It can be laboriously sanded off with 280 - 600 grit wet and dry - but they can also be returned for something better quality. Absorbant is true, but if it is tea then expect a permanent stain on the edges. The cork underneath is not absorbant and will soil.

Brilliant customer service! I wasn't entirely happy with my order, so they sent out another set that arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. They're very pretty, I bought them to stop my plants from warping my wooden shelves, and they're the perfect thickness and size for my pots. There really isn't much left to say, just an overall positive experience.

Great quality. I bought these to protect a marble finish table. As you might be able to see from the pictures the marble effect on these is a bluey-grey rather than a flat grey, which gives a really nice appearance. The cork on the bottom protects surfaces and the shape means you can fit them together to sit larger items on if you wanted. This is the second item I’ve bought from this brand and I’m really happy with both.

Chose these coasters carefully. Very pleased with them. They look really good quality and the colours are lovely. Hopefully they won't chip or fade going forward. Only gave a 4 star as it would have been lovely to have a holder for them. Spoils the look and not so easy to store. But definitely recommend them. I made a good choice.

I was kindly sent these coasters by Sweese to feature on my Instagram and they compliment my coffee table so well! They have a classy minimalism to them and add the right amount of contrast to my coffee table. I think it suits just about any table top given the neutral colors of the marble print. I also love how they stay put thanks to the cork bottom and add a touch of elegance with the marble print. Just be careful when getting tea or coffee or any other liquid on it, wash it gently with a neutral hand soap immediately or it will stain! Overall very pleased with this product and I recommend it to anyone wanting a new set of coasters or thinking of present ideas!
