Great replacement for my old Clamp meter that stopped working
I liked the functionality of the unit and the storage case. The included screw driver was a nice thought but a little too large of a Phillip's head for the size of the screw to the battery back cover! Anyways a great replacement for my old sears clamp meter after stopped working when the batteries leaked. I will not make that mistake again. I will store the batteries outside of the unit between uses.

Need to measure under 20 amps??
Needed amp guage for my solar project. Bought a product at HarborF but the meter would not register the 5 and 10 watts the panels deliver. I'm very happy with my purchase for the purpose I purchased.

Looks good on the outside, but its junk
Lead plugs come out all the time, continuity testing turns off every time you turn off the meter, leads are VERY stiff, lead tips make bad connections resulting in bad readings. The stiff leads also cause the meter to flip over preventing you from reading it. Typical China junk. I should have known better. Only need this for my small RV and thought I could cheap out. This thing goes straight back today for a refund and I will be getting another HIOKI meter, made in Japan.

Small size
alligator cables are an improvement over the push on clips of similar meters.***Meter display is intermittent now after 1-month of a small amount use.If I pushed on the display next to the P button it would work, so I dissembled it and put a thin piece of plastic (ziplock bag piece) between the front bezel and the meter display next to the P button. Reassembled and for now is working . Before the display failed the power button was intermittent.

very impressive!
I checked all functions with lab grade instruments all functions were within the specs. Nice compact size and multi useful functions . One criticisms in reviews was I believe unfounded. The dc low current (jaws) function is very sensitive. It depends on the stationary magnetic field around a conductor it will respond to ANY magnetic field and will respond to the earth mag field. You must null (zero) stray fields and center the conductor to get accurate readings at low dc current. I was very glad I purchased and hope it proves durable.
