seedless watermelons aren't in season
Watermelon makes a good base for a fresh fruit salad, especially when the grocer has to cut you a quarter of the biggest melon you've ever seen for a fiver. Over the winter these much smaller ones are all there is, so that will do until June.Oh, and remember that watermelon is very refreshing but it's not a healthy option - far too much 'bad' natural sugar - fructose - is just too high for regular consumption.
