Vegan Dark Hot Chocolate
Very Tasty! I am allergic to milk so I add hot water! It’s still very good and creamy. Love it!

Great Flavor not too Sweet.
For those not wanting a too sweet powder. Flavorful Dark Chocolate predominates and is sooooooooo satisfying. I also used this to add that DARK CHOCOLATE flavor to less strong Hot Chocolate powders.

Most delicious,
My husband loved chocolate and introduced me to dark chocolates which have antioxidants and as he was a food chemist told me the chocolate was actually good for you if you use the dark chocolate. When we were in his homeland in Australia near Nagamby which is north of Melbourne we were taken to a chocolate candy and hot chocolate shop in the middle of the outback. I ordered a hot chocolate that was spicy. When I asked the owners how spicy it was, they told me that it was as spicy as I wanted after it was served. I was to stir the chocolate a bit and take a taste and if I wanted it spicier to stir it more and it would get more spicy. And it did work that way. I was enchanted and tried to find it when I came home to the United States. On a subsequent trip when I visited the Chocolate Museum in Cologne, Germany, I purchased some Heilmann’s Chocolate that had chilies in it and decided to try it in my hot chocolate on the ship we were traveling on the Danube River. It was perfect if I put one or two tiny squares of the chili flavored chocolate in the hot chocolate that I made. When I came home I tried to find more Heilmann’s Chocolate only to eventually learn that they were not certified to sell their products in the United States. (As an aside, I tried another’s company’s chili infused chocolate in my hot chocolate but it had no effect at all-a surprise. Therefore, the search to find Heilmann’s.) But I finally did find this Equal Exchange Organic Spicy Hot Chocolate in a specialty shop. Though I’m not able to use it straight as it’s a bit too spicy by itself, I use the Dark Chocolate mix from Swiss Miss and put a heaping teaspoon of the spicy mix in the cup to make a wonderfully rich and spicy hot chocolate. It last very long if needed in the tin and retains its flavor. So purchasing three at a time is no problem. I love it.

Mocha every morning
From hot cocoa, to my morning mocha, this is a kitchen staple in my home. I love that it not only tastes amazing, but the quality ingredients take it to the next level. First of all, I so enjoy scooping this out of the round container, rather than a plastic bag! Way less messy! The serving size is quite generous, and I’m able to only use half of what’s recommended, which then of course lets it last a bit longer. Even at half, it’s amazing how little the sugar content is for such a creamy, chocolaty product!

My favorite!
This is my favorite hot chocolate! It Is easy to mix and the price on Amazon was a dollar less than the nearest place to me that sells it. Additionally, they passed the standards for ethical business practices by the food empowerment project. This means the chocolate production did not involve child trafficking and the farmers are paid fairly for the beans. The directions call for 4 tablespoons to 8 ounces but I use about a tablespoon to 12 ounces of hot water with a couple ounces of oat “milk” and it’s plenty flavorful for me.

Decent, but not Delicious
The tins were delivered within 2-3 days of placing my order, and when I opened up the package, there weren’t any product defects I could see. The tins looked pretty much like the one in the image. Thinking that this would be pretty tasty, I cracked open a can and mixed two heaping spoonfuls of the mix into some hot milk. I could taste all of the ingredients – they just didn’t necessarily blend together well. The spiciness stuck out like a sore thumb. It was as if someone had accidentally spilled some peppers into a perfectly fine (but somewhat weak) blend of chocolate & cinnamon. Maybe it’s because I enjoy lots of spicy foods, so I get a lot of quality ones – from curry ramen to Szechuan peppercorn peanuts – but the common denominator in these is that the spiciness never tastes “hollow”, like how sugar water tastes “hollow” compared to a jam. The mix’s spiciness tasted “hollow.” I felt like the mix could’ve used some vanilla or more bitter notes from a stronger, darker chocolate flavor to round things out, plus a little more sugar for that “wow” factor (maybe more cocoa butter? I’ve never tasted pure cocoa butter, so I couldn’t say). If this were cheaper, I think it would be worth it, but I think I could make a better version at home more cost-effectively.Final Verdict:Timely delivery/No defects? – Yeah, it came on time, and it was fine. = 1 star.Style/Customer service - It looks professional. = 1 starMeets expectations? - I can taste all of the ingredients it says it has. = 1 starExceeds expectations/Exceedingly tasty? - Not particularly. Add some Thai chilies to Swiss Miss for a better, comparable flavor. = no star.Cost – It’s kinda pricey – about the same price as the Starbucks Hot Cocoa from Costco during the holidays. That hot cocoa at Costco has both a competitive price and more balanced flavor, so I would say that this isn’t worth it. = no star.

Delicious but loaded with energy
Extremely good, very delicious, but holy cocoa don't use the 4 tablespoons the directions say, you'll be hot wired for 4 hours feeling like you had 8 caffeine pills. Even 2 tablespoons get me wired
