Emergency Mylar Blanket - Waterproof, Wind-Resistant Outdoor Rain Cover for Camping, Emergencies

I bought them in anticipation of a rainy cold football game, and they performed wonderfully, not only waterproof but nice and warm as they reflected body heat. Would work well for emergencies as they are nice and small in their package.

Saw these advertised on Amazon - and had to get for friends (and wife's) Christmas presents - and myself too ! Large lightweight poncho (and additional camou heavy duty mylar blanket provides great clothing comfort and dryness. Proper air flow, yet heat warming and warmth retention. Hoody portion with mylar inside also a great head dryness and warming option. High quality thermal welding and sewing of seams. Great quality and easy of use for the inexpensive price.

Good quality. Reasonably durable although I wish the arm holes were a bit tougher. Seems employees end up ripping them, but I just used some box tape to repair...so far they are still going. Wish there was a way to weight the bottom edge. I moderate to high winds these often want to lift up over your head...maybe a belt or waist bungee would help a lot

This is a thin, mylar poncho style cover for emergency use. It is light weight but seems durable enough for an emergency. Probably one time use. The poncho hits me at knee level and fits comfortably (5ft 6 in man). A large person might find it a bit snug. I like the poncho design which allows for moving around but will also keep a mylar blanket on hand if needed for full length coverage. I have not used outdoors yet but the silver coating reflects body heat immediately when you put it on. I bought 5 to keep in the car for emergencies.

You receive four. Their waterproof they fit over your clothes lightweight, and the material does not damage easily. I've got mine stored in the trunk of the car.

Have not tried these yet, but I opened a pack and put two in each of my cars for emergencies. Looks like they will keep you dry warm very lightweight extremely functional.

Update: Opened one up to test it out just to be sure. The length is not what I had hoped overall, my hubby is 6'2 and with a hiking backpack on the back of this will only cover to about his bum, so if we were hiking and got caught in the rain this wouldn't keep his legs dry at all whatsoever. Also the sleeves are short, they only go to his elbows and not much longer on my arms either even though I'm a foot shorter. So maybe wouldn't keep us quite as dry & warm as I had hoped, still good for emergencies but deducting 2 stars for that. It's also kind of loud to wear when walking, I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that considering the material but it's something I hadn't thought about. Hopefully the company will decide to make them longer and with longer sleeves, or have a longer option available for purchase. Other ponchos I've used were longer with full sleeves and quiet, they didn't have the mylar but keeping dry is an important factor to staying warm. I've purchased other ponchos before but these ones are definitely the best and worth the money! Not only will they protect from rain/snow conditions, but because it's made with mylar it will also keep you warm! The mylar makes it extra durable as well while maintaining the lightweight portability needed for tossing in a hiking backpack or camping bag. It's also small enough to fit in a sling-bag or a large fanny pack. Haven't had the need to use one yet, but I feel very reassured knowing they are there should my family need them.
