Silk Yarn and knitting/crocheting Accessories
I love the feel of the yarn. It is quite different than the perfectly balled of other yarn. I have just been ordering yarn to have inventory when I stay home this winter. Because of the different textures, I’m leaning toward a purse. I think it work up beautifully, but it will take awhile. The service was excellent. Because of the service and the exceptional product I would highly recommend Darn Good Yarn.

Stunning, but a bit tricky to work with
This yarn is so, so beautiful. I did find it a bit tricky to work with because it has no stretch and there’s a bit of variation in the width just due to the nature of torn, twisted silk. It is absolutely worth the additional effort and time though. I made wraps and scarves that look like they cost a fortune.

Very colorful!
Beautiful colors but best for weaving. Yarn is slightly stiff and greasy feeling. Hard going for knitting. Still I am making a square with it for a blanket and I think it'll be lovely.

What a mess! Inconsistent color, thickness, softness, twisted WAY too tightly
When I opened the package, I was disappointed it wasn't softer. So I knew it would have to be used for something stiff. I decided to make a small sling purse for the summer.COLOR: The colors are vibrant, but the outside of the ball (mine) is a combination of orange, fuchsia, lime, and dark green. Then as I worked my way to the center of the ball it was a completely different color scheme of baby pink, purple, neon yellow, turquois, white and red. What? So I stopped crocheting because it would have looked so ugly when completed. I realize this is a combination of many colors, which is what I thought was attractive from the picture in the listing. But at least make each whole skein consistent, and it would be extra nice if the 2 skeins were similar.THICKNESS: Some places are as thin as sport weight, others are bulky. I don't mind a little variation, which can add to the artistic effect, but this is way too much.NEATNESS: There are many places with bunches, so that you have to work to smooth it out. If you crochet as is, it will yield a fabric with large lumps.SOFTNESS: This varied wildly also, with some places softer, others very scratchy.TWIST: The yarn is twisted so tightly that it rolls back upon itself in loops, and makes is even more stiff. I stopped every half row, stood up, and while dangling tried to untwist it, 6 feet at a time. I like to work quickly, but thought if the end product turns out nice, I'll invest the extra energy. When I reached a whole new color scheme and scratchy parts, I finally said this is too much to deal with.So I'm returning this. When I pay $26 for (2) 100 gram balls of yarn I expect superb quality. Sorry, this is a fail!

Nice yarn, but very thin
This yarn is very thin, for socks maybe or to use with another yarn. Colors are brilliant and it's very soft.

Vibrant colors Silk Yarn
I’m a beginner at crochet. I wanted to try this yarn so I bought some. I immediately tried to work with it, but it was too sticky. I researched and found that I needed to wash BEFORE using it. This is not [major retail craft store yarn] I love it!

Beautiful, Shiny, Colorful
Two skeins in the single purchase, as advertised. Approximately DK or sport weight. Very bright, better spun than similar yarns I've purchased in the past. Highly variegated, skeins are not "matching", but I didn't expect them to be. Very happy with this purchase.
