iNextStation Green LED Strip Light, 16ft/5M 2835 SMD 300 LEDs 12V Flexible Cuttable Waterproof LED Tape for Bedroom Kitchen Cabinet Wardrobe TV (No Power Supply/Plug)

This review is based on the LED lighting strip after they had been installed for two days.I have bought twice, second time following the sucess of the first real being installed.As stated below, there is no indication of which terminal is positive or negative. However removing the cover from the supplied connection will reveal which is which. With the real on my left hand side the postive connection was closest to me, once this is established you are good to go.The silicon protective cover is very easy to cut away to give access to the connetion terminals. Note that these are very small and you have to be good with a soldering iron to make the cable connection.You can cut the strip as shown in the advert between the teminal connectionsThe strip is about 8mm wide (ones I have used before have been 10mm). Advantage of the thinner strip is that it is much easier to bend around corners and in my case allowed the kitchen cupboard doors to open without catching the lighting strip fixed to the underside of the work top. Any bigger and I would have been in trouble.The strips have been fixed to the underside of a work top and the under side of the kitchen wall units. They have adhered well, but additional support is required where the LED strip meets the cable connection (but you would do this anyway). The wall units and work top are all brand new.In total I have made up six individual lighting strips with a total lenght of just under 10m. They are all wired back to a single 12v transformer which connects to the mains via a Sonoff switch which is linked to Alexa.I am very please with the result. My photographs were taken late at night with the main kitchen light turned off. The only light source is coming from the LED strip lights. There is pleanty of light that makes kitchen functional albeit maybe not for cooking a large meal. Time will tell if the sticky holds or if they turn yellow.

I'm having to revise my review - see below - the LEDs are currently failing and the plastic coating is turning brown - it could be the environment in which I'm using them, which is quite humid and warm, suitable for exotic plants - but the red version of the LEDs are fine in the same conditions.A really convenient way to get a load of blue LEDs, ready to use and on a self-adhesive strip.There is a power connector - but only one - if you need multiple strips of LEDs you'll need to do some soldering.You will also need a 12V power supply, I would advise getting something with 2 to 3 amps current output but this will depend on what you are going to do with the LEDs.I bought these LEDs for growing plants - plants require mostly blue light for growth with a bit of red - red is mostly to do with promoting flowering - I had bought some grow-lights but they were mostly red with a bit of blue and not much use as I wasn't trying to get the plants to flower.Using mainly these blue LEDs, with a few of the red ones from the same manufacturer, does seem to have worked - I have grown some healthy looking plants in the middle of winter - I also needed a heater to help them along.An advantage of this system is that because all of the different colours available from this manufacturer run on 12V, they can be connected in series to make a long strip of mixed colours - more soldering required - I made up a strip with some red and some blue LEDs so I had two long strips of just blue LEDs and another strip, about the same length, comprising red and blue LEDs.

Does a good job and good lighting

Fortunately I had some 12v plug connections so installing and connecting was a doddle. Self adhesive backing seems good so far but make sure surface is degreased and dust free. All leds work and produce the same output. Cutting points often and clearly identifiable.

Absolute waste of time and money!!!First of all the LEDs are not white but have a definite blue hue to them. The soldered tails were touching both terminals causing a short. The adhesive strip is useless, I installed into a new van after cleaning and degreasing the surface, they were on the floor within 24 hours. Lastly I ordered and paid for 5 meters but received only 4. Now in the bin!. Save yourself the hassle and buy elsewhere.

Didn't worked from the beginning. I found that one of the cables unstuck from the strap but then the seller stepped in and sent me another one literally the next day and wow everyone likes it. Reliable seller that you can count on thanks. Definitely will buy again.

I really wanted to like these LED strips but the adhesive is just useless. I put it on a brand new frame and almost immediately it started to fall off, I keep pressing it every time I go outside hoping it will stay on I wonder how long they will last.I like the connector on the end makes it easy to power up but this part is not IP65 rated, I also like the fact they are narrow so I can use them in more places.They have a good luminance but it all comes down to the adhesive and in my opinion a waterproof LED strip should stick outside, I would have paid more if they had used 3M tape.

Just about sticky enough but not enough fixings/pintacks provided.
