I will start out by saying that I like the look of this. I was a bit surprised how big many of the chunks of broken glass were and upon opening the package was sure I'd send it back as a result. I was hoping for lots of smaller shards. These are more like small chunks.The upside is that they catch and reflect the light better than shards, so it give it more a 'fire and ice' type of look ... especially in the light aqua color. The downside is that if you have a long tray/burner, as I do, unlike the shards, it's hard to cover the burner holes with a top layer and have the flame poke out. You are supposed to cover only a half inch over the burner so there are lots of crevices that the flames can poke through. Given that some of these chunks are almost an inch thick or wide, it makes it impossible to lay a layer over the burners. I am a bit torn as to what looks better, larger chunks, like these, which dazzle more when the flames reflect ... or smaller shards which cover the ugly metal burner.A few pieces did get sooty but were easy to wipe clean. This is the fault of propane vs. the fire glass ... and honestly, the larger chunks are easier to wipe clean when cooled off vs. the smaller shards. They do show up soot much more in the lighter/clear aqua than a cobalt or darker color. If I wasn't to go with the icy look of aqua, I'd likely have gone with the darker blue cobalt so the soot would be less obvious.Overall, I am happy with these. I would need 15 lbs. if I was to completely cover my burner. It only comes in 10 lbs. and 20 lbs. Square fire pits and shallow rectangle (like mine with a 44 inch table) can probably get away with 10 lbs. For what is essentially tumbled glass shards, $20+ is a bit steep for 10 lbs. but I guess shipping cost factors into that. I would order this again and the glass seems high quality, if not a bit bigger chunks than I expected/like.

People leaving bad reviews about it losing its shine or turning black all did it wrong. Before I put it in, I put mine in a colander and sifted out all the tiny chunks. Then I put it in a bowl of water with dishsoap and washed it really good. Then I rinsed it and spread it out to dry completely. When I put it in the fire table, I didn’t just dump it, I put it in by the handful to make sure no tiny bits got in. I’ve used my fire table over and over and the glass is still beautiful and shiny. It looks like fire and ice!

Colors are beautiful and the pieces are nice big ones! Great product!

I love the color. It looks great with me firepit. I washed it like others recommended and laid these out on a white terrycloth towel which allowed me to pick out the large pieces and leave behind the shards. Then I brushed the shards into the trash can. Although there were shards, I did not get cut. They were not sharp. I hope this is helpful.

Nice stones, very iridescent and nice colors. Have had no problems.

These are great stones for the gas fire pit, but are definitely more blue than purple as pictured in the stock photo. That was disappointing.

I've not had any problems with the glass discoloring (except for the few pieces that came in contact with a marshmallow!), at least so far. We have two fire tables, the front porch one we've had for years so I have lots experience with fire glass.Anything can get a little "sooty" looking from contact with fire. But it isn't turning yellow after a few uses, so far so good!The glass pieces are a good, consistent size, they look like crushed ice, and with the flames it looks absolutely stunning, the glass looks even more like ice (fire and ice!). The edge's are sharp, but not cut your finger sharp. Maybe crisp edges is a better description. I didn't see too much dust/slivers when I poured it in, which is great.I misjudged the amount I would need (I think my second table has a slightly deeper pan than the other) so I will be ordering more.. of this brand. I'm very pleased with the quality, so no hesitation ordering more of the same!

The glass was nice and I liked the colour. The reason for the 3 stars is because you have to be really very careful with the glass dust in the bag. If you dump the glass into your fire pit then you can breath in the dust especially if there is a little wind. Also some shards landed on the patio and someone stepped on it in their bare feet. Glass cut them and got stuck in their skin; had to be careful taking it out.

Material scratches easy, door did not line up, had to adjust screw holes. First night we set up to use igniter worked, has not worked since, sadly my husband threw out box so could not return, won't be buying another fire table on line as I would rather see the product in person before I buy. I read reviews on this they were not all bad, if you want a cheap fire table this is your product, if your looking for something that is good quality and stays in working condition do not buy.

I really liked this glass. I purchased it to use in an art piece. However, the pieces are too big so I had to hammer them to make them smaller.

We replaced the lava rock in our fire pit with the Bahama blend glass and it is beautiful. So pretty when the fire is off and even better when lit. The flames seemed to burn higher through the glass than through the rock .The dark blue seems to turn darker when the flame is lit but returns to original colour when it cooled. Very happy with this purchase.

These r fantastic great size and shapes, the colour was more green than blue, but still beautiful and I can’t wait to use it, thanks
