I use these pins to close and secure open cardigans, capes, shawls, etc. The pins are sharp enough to safely pierce even densely woven fabrics without snagging or damaging them, and the “pearl” ends are large enough to easily find and manipulate. These are double-ended pins, so both pearls each have an embedded pin receiver lined with rubber, like some pierced earring backs. So for each item, I lubricated one of the pointy ends with a little wax, and the pearl on that end becomes the removable one. In some cases, though, the sharp end of the pin was so well secured in the rubber lined receiver that the whole construct came out of the pearl and had to be glued back in. Minus one star.

Very useful as a pin to keep tops together that gap open. Can be used as a brooch also for decoration. I’m sure I’ll find many uses for this item. Both sides of the ‘pearls’ pull off. So be sure to have the wire attachment level just like you want it before placing pearls back on or it’ll be crooked. Can be tricky when using where you can’t look to see how it’s placed. All in all, it’s a nice item and functional.

Amazing idea. Haven’t seen these things before, but what a great little accessory to have on hand to cinch the waist of loose fitting dresses and tops! These were a total impulse purchase so I haven’t worn them yet, but I did try them on a shirt at home and they seemed to work fine. I bought the silver gray right angle and the ends are more like gray pearls than silver metal balls. Both ends pull off so you can attach however you need. They came in a plastic bag with a zip top that I store them in so they don’t scratch. Glad I found these!

Beautiful, and well made.I wear ruanas/shawls, often.I highly recommend purchasing 2 sets, so you can wear 2 large, or 2 small, if needed.I purchased the multi color sets.

I like these a lot. They are really versatile as they can be used for a brooch, to hold the front of a button up or wrap dress, and I discovered they are perfect to use with fabric for reusable gift wrap! They are classic and timeless so I can see liking and using them just as much 5 or 10 years from now. Great gift too!

Not only are these lovely to use for a front sweater closure, I found another great use for them! These have been very useful to me for tightening blouses in a decorative way. I've lost some weight and rather than buy new shirts, I found these lovely pins and they really work perfectly for gathering the blouse material in the back and holding it together to slightly tighten the blouse.

Had a difficult time pulling the pearl off, but once I did, I really like it. Well made. Looks nice on sweaters and blouses.
