Worked. There's not much more to stay. My application is sharing my work laptop with my desktop p.c. setup at home so I can use the large monitor, wireless keyboard, mouse and speakers. So the switch that shares between the laptop and desktop has a VGA interface. My laptop does not. It has an HDMI port on it. Thus the need for this adapter/convertor...call it whatever you want works great. No frills packaging. Very good price and I wonder when I see so my p.c. or home theater "adapters" that all look identical with different manufacturers logos on them I suspect there's only one company that makes them, then puts whoever's name on the exterior of the product. This looked like one of those cases, so I bought the least expensive one. It works. Took longer to write this paragraph then it did to open the envelope, rip open the package, install it and clean up the trash.

This product worked, just plug and play. One small issue: the image flickers for less than a second every minute or so. Not a big problem, but if it would start doing that more often I see how it can become annoying. Otherwise very happy with the adaptor, since the previous brand I tried didn't work at all.

Didn't know if this had been tested with the RasPi, but I tested it, and it works!

The picture on my monitor and crisp and full of color. It's the perfect length so it doesn't add extra cord on my desk. You could use an extender cable if you need more length, but the cord on my monitor is plenty long. This is exactly what I needed! I received this at a discount for my honest opinion and review!

Died in two months, and I'm pretty sure it was messing with my computer the whole time it was connected. I'm not absolutely certain it was this, but I experienced very weird problems getting the machine to fully power down while this was connected. Since buying a monitor that supports HDMI after this thing bit the dust, I have no problems powering down and powering up.
