Igloo MaxCold 165 Quart Cooler

This is one heavy son-of-a-gun when it's full of ice. But the ice , not all of it of course, was still in it in the back of my pickup for eight days. The only problem I have with it is it is not a one-man job to move it.

It has 3 compartments and you are able to just open on the sides of cover

I got mine for $20 in an estate sale !! Love it !

Great price for the size but cooler lid does not stay closed while trailering or speeds over 30 MPH. I use the cooler for part storage part cooler via smaller cooler that fits inside. Unfortunately cooler lid keeps opening due to poor closures and the contents fly out (lost a few life jackets towels etc.) Remedy…bungee cord over lid. Other issue is the lid is very soft and tends to become even softer in the sun so sitting on the lid causes it to concave. Lesser issue but becomes more relevant when using it for dry storage is the quick access lid takes in water from rain. This is why rotomolded coolers cost 3X more. But for $99, it’s a hassle I’m willing to live with.

I personally use this cooler for transporting my bait fish to certain lakes. I have already used it in 90* plus weather with high UV present, it kept my water temperature very cool. It is worth mentioning the picture on the product is not accurate, however this newer design is even better, it has 2 open doors on top at each end with insert separation for inside the cooler, which is really nice. I would reccomend. Product could have been alittle cheaper, but I'll just say thanks Joe!!!

The item pictured was not the one sent out to me. The one I received has two flaps that open on the sides. Everything else is the same.
