In Clothes Called Fat

Awesome book. Very happy with this purchase.

This book doesn’t really detail the highs/lows of an ED like I thought it would, it more or less just shows the before and after results. I had high hopes for it and I really like the main character, but I wouldn’t really recommend it.

I absolutely adore this manga so far, but my copy came misprinted (i think?) with the first chapter being printed three times in a row. a little distracting, but the rest of the book is fine as far as i can see

Been wanting to get this book and since a i got it here for a good price and new , even betterI love Moyoco Anno's work and just had to get this and I'm enjoying the work

Mayocco Anno is a prolific writer-artist of manga in Japan best known for her comedies about twentysomething women and their professional and personal lives. This is a story that's not a comedy but a drama, and a tragic one at that. Noko is a fat office lady who's the resident doormat, picked on and bullied by a sociopathic and attractive colleague who's also having an affair with Noko's feckless, abusive boyfriend. Noko suffers from low self-esteem and comfort-eats, but when she discovers her boyfriend's affair, she decides she needs to lose weight and get thin, but her problems go much deeper than just her weight and body-image problem, and her inability to do anything in moderation sends her on a physical and emotional roller coaster that puts her entire life and psyche at risk.Few comics or prose novels are this direct in portraying the emotional, psychological and sexual foibles of men and women as Mayocco Anno's stories. There's a sense that she wants to shed light on the insidious cruelty of women towards other women, their insecurities, anxieties and what makes them tick. You react with empathy, exasperation and horror at the heroine's self-delusion, self-loathing and terrible decisions, but it's clear that you are meant to care for her and hope she ends up in a better place. Even as she puts herself through a hellish crucible, there is hope at the end.You read this graphic novel and you feel like you know someone like Noko. Or she could be you.

I enjoyed reading this bookSpoiler alert!!I didn’t find the ending satisfying but it’s the author’s choice, not all stories have a happy ending. I did find it interesting that the main character wasn’t happy after losing weight since we’re so often fed that narrative. All in all it was a good read

Even with the negative comments on this manga i went for it any ways i liked it it was not hard to fallow but i have been reading manga for like seven years and i thought the nudity was tastefully done compered to other manga but still it is not for the young people but if you are interested in this manga don't let something like a lil nudity stop you im sure you watch movies that have much more than this . What to expect in clothes called fat a sad beginning a sad middle and a sad end but its still great

A manga about the truth. Struggles in life, how bad it can end when you are not truthful to yourself. Ending insulting yourself because of others just to fit in.

I was looking for a one-shot manga to read. When I found this, I immediately thought "it seems kind of worth"; but I never could have thought it would be so much accurate.The plot, the designs and the entire cast of characters blend together perfectly, creating a truly heartbreaking story.Last but not least, the shipping service has been excellent: the product arrived one day earlier than expected in perfect condition.

Meiner Meinung nach, ist es eine äußerst realistische Darstellung von Essstörungen. Man merkt das Herz, das in dieses Buch gesteckt wurde.

One of my favorite mangas ever! I love the story and Moyoko's style it's simple and clean. The plot it's compelling and dark, you'll end up *eating* it up.
