In 1905 the Wiener Werkstatte (Vienna Workshops) began producing printed and woven textiles many design by artists such as the Austrian painter Gustav Klimt (1862-1918). For nearly thirty years the workshops produced refined and graphically elegant designs distinctive in their use of flat shapes and bold colors. It is on a printed textile designed about 1920 by Klimt and now in the conllection on The Metropolitan Museum of Art that this ballpoint pen is based. Gift of Joanne F. du Pont and John F. Pleasants in memory of Enos Rogers Pleasants III 1984 The highlight of the pen is the smooth twist-action ballpoint system activated by turning the tip cone. N0 fault of Seller, Just a mediocre product
This pen works perfectly well, but I was in it for Klimpt. Sadly, this is a very blurry representation of his work, The Seller is not to blame. Shipment was prompt and secure. The imagery just disappoints,
