Resident Dog (compact): Incredible Homes and the Dogs That Live There

Unfortunately, this book is full of "designer dogs". We all know about factory puppy mills. Booooh! Why are there no pictures of any beautiful rescued shelter dogs?

As a dog lover and deisgn/architect lover the concept of this book grabbed my attention immediately. The pictures are so well done! Each picture has a description that gives information about the dog's and their individual personalities. Great coffee table book and conversation starter! One heads up** the homes are only in Australia in this book and are all very modern/Scandinavian/mid century style. I did not realize it was just one location and would have liked more variety in the architectural styles however, that is completely personal opinion! The quality of the book, pictures, home designs, and pet descriptions are all fantastic!

2.5 stars rounded up to three. I love the concept of this book. The architecture and interiors however were waaay too modern for my tastes. There was absolutely no color or pattern to be found. No personality to the spaces whatsoever. Very bland. The dogs were cute though.

First book came with pages upside down. Pretty book I got as a coffee table gift for a sophisticated dog person. I do wish there were some images of mutts and different houses—the vibe is kinda one note.

I gave this book to my wife at Christmas and it was a hit. You can peruse the book for architectural ideas, and in each pic is a dog with a description. Low key. More backgrounds on the dogs and the relationship with their owners would be good in the next book.

This is a fabulous book!Each residence is in the dogs names-giving us the incite and ‘meet and greet’ to each wonderful dog.The architecture is also beautiful...

Wonderful selection of homes. Lots of great photography. High quality. Buy this coffee table book. Can't wait for the second edition.

I bought this book after seeing an article about it in House and Garden. The book is beautifully presented with pictures of modern homes in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane together with the dogs who live in them. A book that can be looked at many times with appealing photographs of architecture, interiors and resident dogs.

what a delightful insight into the talented Australian designers homes and projects.... using dogs as a prop is perfect and a lovely insight. As a dog owner and designer I now want to be included in the next book...Elsie the golden spoodle is very keen also!

Great book. Great combinations showcasing the architectural design and dogs at the same time. I a dog person and I like the combination of these two.
