Q: How can the reviews be so mixed? There are so many 5 star but then so many bad reviews

I think it may depend on what the purchaser wanted the batting for. I used it for placemats, wall quilts and a lightweight quilt. If one expected to achieve a puffy look or a great deal of warmth one would be less satisfied.

Q: Is this batting fusible?

No it is not. It is a bit clingy but I still used 505 spray

Q: Is this 2 pieces that are each 36” x 46”?

Hello! It is 2 pieces and it is perfect for a backing the miniature wall quilts I make. I had to sew a few pieces together and you can't even tell. It's a great price, too. I hope this helps you.
