Although these pads might work well on a floor surface, they do not stay in place on my knees when using them outdoors. The clear front plastic portion is molded with ridges to create a flat surface, so that the pad sits flat on the ground or floor. However, when using these on the lawn outside, those molded ridges catch on any irregularity of the ground when I move my knees around, and so the pads quickly twist around to the sides of my knees. The straps, like another reviewer mentioned, are too stretchy, so they cannot hold the pads tightly enough on the legs, thus allowing the pads to twist to the sides. I have used the other simpler types of pads, like the Fiskars, which are completely smooth on the rounded kneeling surface, and they work just as good (maybe even better) and are far less expensive.

This product does exactly what it is supposed to and for a great price. The only reason it is docked a star is the size. For thin to average people it is fine, but if you are even slightly overweight it will really have to stretch to fit around your knee and leg comfortably. We use them at work and some of the guys love them while others (the bigger guys) use larger knee pads. These larger ones don't provide as much cushion as these though. All in all a great product, just be warned if you are large.

These were perfect for me. I'm getting on in years, and I don't often plan on having to work on my knees. I don't "plan" to. Well there are times when it is necessary and I used to dread having to do it every time. The Hard floor or any hard surface simply kills me now. I saw these on Amazon and just the picture showed promis. Simple to put on, simple to take off. One velcro strap to fasten/release. Fits easily over pants and the inside foam is very comfortable. You almost feel the urge to slide across your floor, *although if you have high polished wooden floors, I wouldn't advise it..

These are really comfortable and really protect knees from whatever hard surface you're on. But there's these little metal pointy bits holding together the actual product together that stab you in the knees and kinda negate the cushioning. Plus they have the cheapest straps in the universe.Even still, I used them every day at work loading planes and they're holding up good. But when people ask me about them, I suggest they find something else which is a shame because it's minor flaws that kill the product.

For the homeowner looking to save his/her knees on simple chores these are a good option. Inexpensive, simple. I would not consider these if I had intended to wear them all day roofing or flooring but for short jobs, maybe for gardening too, they work well and are so much nicer to your knees than the hard bare floor.

We've used kneepads for about 45 years. These are the best we have ever used.They are comfortable. They do not slip. They are good in garden soil, hard flat surfaces, sloping surfaces, gravel or river rock.We got these recently, so we do not know how long they will last. But we don't care that much. Our knees have grown old, so they enjoy the wonderful comfort and protection.But we also encourage younger persons to get these kneepads -- you do well to protect yourself against joint injuries, a class of injury that is unforgiving and persistent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Be aware - these knee pads do not have any type of abrasion resistance on the knee area. They are just a high density closed cell foam and will wear through very quickly. No rubber or other type of high wear material is on the outside of the pad.Aside from the shot lifespan, these pads are pretty comfortable and stay in place relatively well. I would not guy them again because they wear our very quickly.

A great product. 2nd back-up pair. Gave a pair as a gift. Love them. Easy to wear and adjust with the separate velcro bands. Tried others that are not dually adjustable and they are difficult to fit. These are great. I just wear long pants to insure that there is no slippage. Very comfortable. Am in my garden every day and these are life savers and very durable. Love that they are washable and made for garden dirt.

The size of the pad is really small, does stay in the correct area. I do not recommend it.
