Having had multiple 'other' brand smoke alarms fail due to the built-in long-life battery not lasting as predicted, I decide to change makes and purchase these, having seen a good review of them / the system online. They are much smaller than existing alarms (like a jam doughnut size) and fit easily with the included screws / kit. Added benefit is that this model is one of the few to still have a changable battery (although a 5yr / long-life version), so if they do suffer battery failure like the other brand, it's just a case of buying a new common battery and not a whole unit, so overall a better ROI. Added benefit of these is that they are interlinkable, so if one alarm sounds, they all do, giving added piece of mind to safety, considering that I was fitting these throughout the elderly Parents' place whom are hard of hearing. So now I know that if an alarm sounds in a room that they are not in, they will be alerted by the unit nearest them, hopefully giving extra time to deal with the issue at hand.

Really good that they are linked. Easy to set up and much safer. Nice and convenient too, not too large.

I love these. Easy to join together. Small and can fit anywhere- on a high shelf or screwed into a ceiling. I would say there have been a number of false alarms with them which has annoyed my husband. In the 3 months we've been using them they've gone off about 5 times (once at midnight) - and it really is ear piercing! Easy to stop by pressing the button, but you'll want ear plugs in to do it. I don't know what sets them off- once I thought it was a siren on the telly. No cooking or smoke around so I'm not sure. However, I have peace of mind in every room now - which would catch the earliest sign of problems. Would recommend but but warned about false alerts.

Well constructed and well made system. Extremely easy to install and set up. Immediate link up of individual units on removal of battery tapes. Alarms when tested emitted a very loud high pitched sound with all alarms sounding after one of the alarms is tripped. Can't comment on battery life as it's a new install. All in all an excellent, easy to install system with a 5 Year Guarantee with option too increase this to 7 Years on registration. Excellent value for money, and I have no hesitation in highly recommending this alarm system. The photo shows alarm fitted to ceiling.

Overall, a five star review. You can tell there has been a lot of thought and care put into producing these detectors. Even the packaging and the instructions are top quality. The units themselves are really well designed, they're small and look great on the ceiling (really). I've read reviews from people that say they've tested these alarms with smoke and that they don't work. I've also read reviews where people say that the alarms fail to link. I bought two 3 packs (6 alarms in total). I followed the instructions for interlinking. You need to press the button four times in quick succession to add a new alarm to your existing network. If you're too slow, you will fail to interlink the alarms. Once you realise this, interlinking works every time. Also, I tested all the alarms using a can of "Smoke Sabre - smoke detector test aerosol" - search for it on Amazon.... Not cheap at about £16..... but every alarm responded correctly. There was a bit of delay between spraying the smoke and the detector sounding.... but this was fine for me. I don't want the smoke alarms going off with every minute whiff of something that might be smoke. I only want an alarm when there's a problem brewing. Highly recommended.

Every home should have one

As I'm installing power to my detached garage I wanted to ensure I was alerted if there were ever any issues while in the house, and vice versa if working in the garage. Three of these, all paired straight from the box, installed and tested in under 10 minutes. I've replaced my existing alarm in the hallway with one of these, and added one on the landing upstairs. Each tested and happily pinging/triggering the other two. For reference, it's a 250 year old house with very thick walls. The garage is 6m from the house, and total 15m from the nearest alarm in the house and it all works seamlessly. I shall be buying some more to expand coverage to each of the bedrooms, the living room and the dining room. With high ceilings downstairs, it could take a lot of smoke in one room before it spills under the top of the door frame and triggers the hallway alarm, so for less than the price of a single nest alarm I can add 3 more rooms with this system.

Brauchten für ein kleines Haus sieben Melder. Haus hat nur ein Erdgeschoss, circa 100 qm. Bad, Küche, 2 Flure und 4 Räume. Bad und Küche haben wir nicht bestückt. Insgesamt haben wir 7 Stück bestellt. Der eine Raum ist ein wenig verschachtelt. Installation war wirklich einfach. Erst einmal haben wir allen aneinander gereiht und miteinander verbunden. Beschreibung ein wenig kompliziert, aber ist sehr einfach. Melder 1: 4 mal Knopf drücken Melder 2: 2mal Knopf drücken Fertig😀 Sehen wirklich smart und modern aus. Befestigt haben wir die Melder mit Magnetplatten. Kein bohren mehr notwendig und super schnelle Montage, oder auch Demontage. Kleinen Test durchgeführt und alles funktioniert. Sind super zufrieden und können wieder beruhigt schlafen. Bei empfindlichen Ohren empfiehlt sich ein Gehörschutz während der Installation zu tragen. Kinder sollten nicht dabei sein ohne Schutz.

Très très compliqué de connecter les détecteurs à la centrale, cela prend une éternité quand cela marche... j'ai du finalement acheter une autre marque, seul la moitié fonctionne, à éviter!

Il kit arriva già pronto per l'installazione: i sensori sono già interconnessi tra loro quindi una volta rimossa la linguetta isolante dal vano batteria di ognuno sono pronti per essere fissati al soffitto o alla parete nelle posizioni consigliate nel manuale. E' bene comunque effettuare una prova di funzionamento premendo e tenendo pigiato per alcuni secondi il pulsante di uno dei sensori fino a quando tutti si mettono a suonare contemporaneamente in modo da verificare che il collegamento sia attivo. Io li ho montati utilizzando i supporti magnetici adesivi studiati proprio per i sensori antincendio. La misura ideale dei supporti per questi sensori X-Sense è di 50 mm. di diametro. Una volta montati al soffitto quasi non si notano grazie alle ridotte dimensioni; l'estetica moderna comunque li rende più che accettabili in qualsiasi ambiente. Eviterei di posizionarli in cucina o vicino ad un caminetto per evitare che l'allarme scatti in occasione di una semplice grigliata.

Har precis monterat alla 6 brandvarnare och det var väldigt lätt att koppla ihop alla. Monteringen gick snabbt. Snygg, modern design med liten diameter, vilket gör att man knappt märker att de existerar.

Super Rauchmelder. Schnelle Installation und Kopplung der Geräte untereinander. sehr hochwertiges Material und super Design .Würde ich wieder kaufen.
