Works great with positive training!
I was apprehensive at first to buy this. I have never used a training collar and wanted something to help with training my dogs (I have 5 dogs). All 5 dogs listen pretty well already but they all have their moments. My oldest dog, Petey (who is 175 lbs), this doesn't work on him. It's his size and he really doesn't do anything (he's also very lazy) anyway. Lola and Nevaeh are not fans but listen well-- I did try each setting (also, used same settings of each on myself) and they respond very well to the beep (and, a low setting on the shock mode but literally only used once). Molly, purebred GSD (if you know GSDs, they are stubborn by nature), is young and stubborn and likes to do her own thing. However, with the collar (and, months of positive training), she can walk on the road with distractions without a leash, she knows her boundaries and listens like she's been professionally trained. We've only ever used the beep on her and that is all it takes. She is at the point where she really actually doesn't need the collar and still listens (&, still the happiest dog), and our last dog, Blu, responds to the vibration only. These collars work and I would definitely recommend positive training and reinforcement with them. I do not ever have to use the shock mode and truly don't want to unless absolutely necessary. I honestly have tried up to 50 on my arm for the shock mode and it did sting a bit. I would never use any higher than probably a 10 on any of my dogs, if I absolutely had to. I love my dogs and these collars have helped (I have purchased a few more since trying out the first one). They are happy, healthy and very much a huge part of our family. Definitely recommend but only used with positive reinforcement. Plus, give it time. It's not overnight results and I honestly can say my dogs were already pretty well-trained prior to this so I'm not sure if we had a dog that had never listened prior and how well the collars would work, but can attest they work great with mine. Batteries hold up well and I only charge probably weekly. I've never had an issue with the collars shutting off and they are well made and hold up (even while swimming).

Good but remote stopped
I bought this in April for 2 of my 3 dogs.It was working great. Today (only 6 mos later), I plugged in the remote to charge and it's dead. I tried different charging methods, ie...outlet, computer, etc. Nothing.I do not see an option for just a remote or battery. Any recommendations?

The best option out there, especially if you have two dogs
This is our third purchase of this very practical dog training system. We have three dogs and live on a 50 acre property with a dog door, so our dogs roam a lot. We've tried a number of different options, including the GPS Petfon system but we just keep coming back to this set up. It's not perfect. You have to charge the collars every night and even then, after 4-6 hours they go to sleep on the dogs. But the dogs actually like wearing the device (they get excited when they hear the beep as we turn on each of their collars) and the collars are very hardy. Our dogs roam through heavily wooded areas in snow and rain and these receivers just keep ticking. The learning curve is quick if you use treats and the range is pretty good. Finally, having one remote for two dogs is just a god send. All in all you can't beat this product for value and easy of operation.

Really enjoying this dog collar set
This thing is great. I have a young Boxer lab mix and a senile hard-of-hearing Border Collie/ Terrier mix. Using this device is very helpful for both of them. The puppy needs to be reigned in sometimes if he's too "puppyish", or sometimes he whines when he's outside but wants to come in (but can't) . All I need to do is beep him and he knows what comes after that, so he doesn't need to be vibrated or shocked. It's great! My old hard-of-hearing dog is pretty good on walks and I don't need to keep her on a leash, but sometimes on the way back from the park she takes her time sniffing out stuff. I give her a little vibrate, and she hurries right back to us.I've had some other collars before. This one is great because the remote is slim and fits in the hand well, it shows you how much battery life is left in the collars, and you can pair up to 9 dogs. The buttons are also crisp and don't get stuck down like a previous version I had.I haven't tested the range yet, but it's probably the same frequency as others because of FCC rules. The nylon collar is heavier duty than others I've had in the past and doesn't loosen up on its own.I definitely recommend this to others

Save your money until they get it together!
I thought this would be a good unit because I ordered this in the beginning of 2020 and it worked well. It was easy to use and ALL the features worked. I purchased this in October 2020 and right off I noticed a difference between this one and the original but I thought it would be a difference because the original one was for one collar and this one is for 2. Now the original collar got broken when I took it off to charge it and I didn't put it back on the dog as snug and he was able to get the collar off and he chewed it up. I tried to rebuy the original but it was sold out. So I settled for this one since it was from the same seller and brand but it was more money because it has 2 collars and remotes. Any who on neither collar the shock feature doesn't work but that isn't a real problem for me because the dog retreat with the beeping or vibration. The most irritating thing for me is that the remote and collar become unsynced when you don't use a feature for a while and you have to turn the collar and remote off and on again for them to resync again despite what the directions say. Also the battery life only last a day. This is for both collars. The original collar lasted between 3-5 days depending on how much you used it. This collar definitely makes your task more difficult than better. I feel like I paid for a problem. 😑😒
