Annie and Nikita are perfect for each other. She is the light to his darkness. Annie is feisty and refuses to back down or give into the man who enslaves her. However, it’s Annie’s feistiness that draws Nikita in. He has never met a women like her and finds himself more and more drawn to her. Read this book in one sitting. There was plenty of spice and fast paced action along with the usual bloodbath associated with mob stories. Loved the book and definitely recommend it.

This can definitely be read as a stand-alone, as I haven’t read any of the other stories in the series. It is a darker themed story with multiple scenes that could be triggers for sensitive readers. Examples are listed below, along with a few of the grammatical issues I found.The pace is fine and the world building is solid. I rated this 4 stars because there was a couple of transitions that needed some additional information. I can’t provide too much information or it will be a major spoiler, but it is toward the end. What happened after release of “x”? We go from 100 to 0 back to 100 but without the details of how we got back to 100. Hopefully this will make more sense after reading the story, but I wanted more. There is an extended epilogue, so maybe there is something in that …In this story, Nikita is the mafia Don for the Lavinia Bratva, the largest in the city. He was born to lead his family and took over about 10 years ago when his father was murdered. He knows that it is deadly to show any emotions or weaknesses to his fellow Dons. That is what got his father killed and he is determined not to follow in that part of his footsteps.The main part of his business is through the sale of guns, but his organization has many different types of businesses. One of which is the organizing and running of an auction for human sex slaves. Only the most powerful families and cartels were invited. Afterward, they will hold one of their semi-regular meetings with the heads of all the families. They discuss any upcoming business opportunities, issues that require discussions, etc. all in an effort to keep the peace between the various factions.Annie is a college student that has only 1 more semester to go before completing her degree in Accounting. She just completed her finals and has a few more things to grade but she just wants to sleep. Unfortunately her two roommates have plans to celebrate the end of finals and they gang up on her until she agrees to go. They also complete another makeover, but nothing as scandalous as the one they did 2 years ago. Annie is more modest and wasn’t comfortable exposing as much skin as that outfit showed.The 3 of them finish getting ready and make their way to the hottest new club in the city. They start dancing and decide to get some something to drink after a while. They are approached by 3 men dressed in suits. Stephen keeps buying shots for Annie and after a few, he asks her to dance. She isn’t out on the dance floor for very long before she starts to feel the effects.Stephen leads her off the floor and backs Annie up against the wall. When she goes to leave, he stops her and drags her down a hallway that she didn’t even know was there. Before she knows it, Annie is bound and tossed into a van. Despite fighting at every turn, she finds herself quickly cuffed and collared on a stage with a few other women in various states of dress.Annie is determined to get away and continues to fight. It is clear that she is not exactly like some of the others on the stage, most of which were either homeless, runaways, prostitutes, and/or drug users. Her hair and clothes are clean, her skin is clear, and her eyes aren’t glassy. Those things combined with her🔥, make Annie the top prize of the evening.After the others have been sold, Annie finally has to accept that she will be sold next, but she is bound and determined not to give up. Nikita can’t stop his fascination with the fiery brunette, but even he is surprised when he finds himself bidding on her against another Don, Gino, who is over the Italians. Despite the potential issues, Nikita has to make sure he wins once he starts, otherwise it would make him appear weak … right?⛔️ The series contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, spanking for pleasure and punishment, restraints, sadism, voyeurism, exhibitionism, etc.; violence such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, threats, subterfuge, money laundering, gun running, cheating, prostitution, human trafficking, mafia / cartels, arson, drug use, drug addiction, drug manufacturing, drug distribution, as well as the mental, physical and sexual abuse of females, etc.** Caution: Contains scenes with reference to, or detailed graphic violence against females that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **There are very few grammatical issues primarily comprised of incorrect word choice and tense, punctuation errors, missed words and extra inserted words. I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

Read it in one day—awesome story and enough twists to keep you guessing! A new plot was refreshing—something other books haven’t touched on! Loved it!

I'm surprised I usually love Nicole Fox but I found this story 2 dimensional. The characters were bland and the plot flat. It wasnt overall bad. But I was just pushing through it to get to the next book. Not my favorite. Perhaps it's because I expect more from her.

I rarely give a book 5 stars....rarely but this book earned it. Though I was torn with the ending of the enemy. I viewed Nikita’s actions as weak. I seriously wanted to give it 4 stars because Nikita had been such an alpha and his actions were a complete 360. You can love Annie and want to be a better person; but how you rule the mob and underworld doesn’t change. Iron fist, ruthless and stone alpha...that’s Nikita. His character was so sexy and in control. Even when Nikita lost control there was a dominance and sex appeal. Annie was so freaking hilarious, smart, feisty and witty. Their interactions, intimacy and chemistry was unmatched. The book immediately pulled me in and I hoped it would keep my attention the entire read. The book did not fail to deliver. Yes, the human trafficking and sex slaves were dark but the title does warn you. I read this book in hours, I literally couldn’t put it down. Great read!

Absolutely loved this book. couldn't put it down. Lot's of twists and turns. looking forward to next book. definitely would recommend.

I just love Nicole’s writing style! This story was a bit rushed love but I dug it all the same! Kept my interest from beginning to end and gobbled it up in less than a day, yet again, as I couldn’t put it down.

Annie, college student, taken from a local club. Forced into a slave auction. Nikita, mob boss, host of slave auction, impressed by her fire and determination. Nikita buys Annie. Seems simple, but Lord have mercy, its anything but. A jealious rival breaks all the rules set by the council and nearly destroys everything. I loved this series each book is the gambit of funny to down right scary. You become involved with characters and start rooting for their success. Get the series you will not be disappointed

Nikita has mostly legal businesses, but for the rest he needs the anonymity of the club's private areas.Annie just wants a night out with her friends.... unfortunately people known to Nikita kidnap her and add her to the club's private auction. What follows is nothing short of mindless mind games and mayhem. With the bodycount rising and his businesses going bang , can Nikita save the girl and save the day. I just loved reading the book to find out !!!!

Great read was good to just sit back and read a good story loved the ending and glad it all worked out

Sold to the mob boss was a good read the storyline was well written and loved both Nikita and Annie’s character. This is the third book I’ve read in this series a Nicole Fox once again had me captivated. Each time wondering how the two will come together and it never fails she gets it bang on.

Loved the story of this book ! A must read I think most people will enjoy this book but it's up to the individual!
