I love this little thermos! It's the perfect size for soup or stew. Easy to clean and easy to use. To make sure it stays warm, I first fill it with hot water and let it sit for five minutes before filling with heated food.

My husband’s office is like the artic for some reason, so he uses this to take lunch. I fill it about 1/3rd full with hot water for about 15-20 minutes (usually while I am cooking) because I read somewhere that this helps an insulated container to keep things warm. It holds about 1cup of cooked rice with about 1 cup of cooked veges and beans. Enough to satisfy the appetite of a 6’1” husband with a metabolism to envy! He normally has lunch about 7 hours after its packed and though it’s been a few years since he’s had it, he still often expresses awe at how warm his food remains, without going bad (though if he leaves it longer, I imagine the heat will make it go bad). He previously tried taking food to work in other insulated containers, with same prep done ahead of packing his lunch, but the food would be, at best, room temperature when he was ready to eat. This one keeps it hot, even though he is in a cold room all morning. Also, so far, no spillages. Really good product!

You won't find a thermos with a wider mouth! Makes it really easy to eat directly from it. On the heavier side but not terrible. Holds the heat!

My kid has used it multiple times for stews and chilis and says it’s still really warm at 12:30 after I prep it at 7 am. I put boiling water in it first for a few minutes before putting in the food. Wish I’d bought it sooner!

Love the convenience of the wide mouth. It’s so much easier to eat from, kids find it easier too, and less spills. It is also easier to clean the inside since you can fit a hand in it. The vent top is a nice addition, watch out for liquid coming out of it if too steamy and it adds another thing to clean. Only complaint or heads up is if you have small hands or small kids the top is hard to get off with it being so wide. It is hard to get your hand over top of it and turn it, exp if it’s hot and stuck on, or just turned a smidge too tight. Silicone on the bottom part to grip would help.

I had such good results with the 8 ounce containers that I invested in the 16 ounce size also. If I warm these up with boiling water, then pour it out before I put in my lunch, my lunch will stay hot from 5 AM until noon at lunchtime. For years, my husband brought frozen ice cream to work in the 8 ounce size. I would pull the thermos out of the freezer at 5 AM and he would eat ice cream on the train home at 3 PM. I’ve tried other thermos brands and they don’t come close to these. They are worth the investment.

My 5.5 yo daughter said the spaghetti was perfectly warm after 6 hours. It’s spacious and wide enough to eat from. It’s difficult for her to open it for now so her teacher has to help.

I was on a mission to find a wide mouth soup thermos that would keep my meal hot for a long time, was made of stainless steel with stainless also inside the lid instead of plastic, be minimalist and attractive, and be easy to open. After researching options, reading reviews, and purchasing this 16 oz lunch bots stainless thermos — I’m happy to report that it’s a winner! I preheated the thermos with boiling water and let sit for 10 minutes with the lid on, then emptied the water and filled it with hot stew. It stayed really warm for seven hours while sitting in a car during the winter. When it was dinner time, I pressed the steam vent button on top of the lid once, then easily opened the thermos. Very happy!
