Steck Manufacturing 20350 The Pro Step

I am a large person and do not like step stools at all. When we planned to paint the inside of the house over a 5 day period, I knew I needed to get something to help with the high places. This was perfect! It can be set low enough that you can just step up or it can be set high enough that I needed a step block to step on to it. It has a very roomy platform and is sturdy enough that you feel very safe being on it for a long period of time. When I wasn't standing on it to paint high, I was sitting on it to paint low. The people that came to help over the days all commented on what a great aide this was. It was definitely worth the investment and will be used for many home projects to come.

This is a handy shop accessory. I did have to drill out some of the holes in the platform to allow the pins to engage, and I wish there was a place to attach the retention chains for each one of them.

I HAVE BEEN USING THIS IN MY WOODSHOP FOR A WHYLE AND IT IS ONE OF THOSE / HOW DID I LIVE WITHOUT IT/ TOOLS. IT IS SOLID AND WILL HOLD YOU UP WITH OUT ANY TROUBLE. I AM OVER 400LB. AND IT IS ROCK SOLID. A 100 TIMES BETTER THAN A 5FT LADDER WHEN YOU ONLY NEED A FOOT OR SO. LOWERS TO A FUE INCHES LIKE A STEP. UP HIGH I REST CAST IRON SAW TABLES ON IT WHEN I NEEN TO GET UNDER IT FOR MAINTANCE. I LOVE THIS PRO STEP.

EVERYTHING WAS BENT WHEN I RECEIVED THE STEP. HAD TO PUT TOGETHER WITH HAMMERS AND USE SMALLER HARDWARE BECAUSE NONE OF THE HOLES WOULD LINE UP. NOW ITS A RATTLING STEP. NOT HAPPY. WOULD LIKE A NEW ONE SO I CAN THROW THIS ONE IN TRASH!

My husband has it all! His passion is working on trucks (engines and such). Every time I go into the garage, I see him standing on a wheel to get into the engine bay. So, I searched and I searched for a sturdy step stool for him. I have never seen him so happy in his life. He loves how sturdy this is. It was easy to put together too! For the price, you can't get much better!

Description says rated for 1000lbs. Step has sticker for max 500lb load.I am a 300lb plus guy. Platform has some flex when loaded but still feels ok to stand on.Platform is hard to change height and requires a bit of force due to the tight fitting slides.I did not trust the retaining pins, they would slide out with no effort. Would recommend replacing them with real locking pins.Overall seems sturdy enough and the highest setting is higher than I can step without push/pulling myself up and the platform is quite large to stand on. Seems to work well for the price and working on truck engine repairs.

exactly what I was looking for. works a lot better than a milk crate or cinder block to stand on while working under the hood of my truck. went together easily and seems to be fairly well made
