Very fun game.
MK11 for me is a mixed bag. This is of course my personal feelings toward the game,so please understand that before reading my review. I am a longtime fan of the Mortal Kombat series, ever since it's original release in 1992. That being said,I have my favorite MK games and not-so favorite MK games. But,right now we are focusing on Mortal Kombat 11. To make this review as simple as possible,I'll list my positives and negatives about MK11,and then give my personal reason why.....here we goPositives:-Amazing Graphics and Animations( I love how NRS has motion scanned each character's face over a real person. This makes MK look real again [a la MK1-MK Trilogy] Unlike,it's previous predecessors from 1997-2015. The facial animations are fantastic!-Great New Fatalities and Brutalities(Mortal Kombat and the guys over at NRS have once again, outdone themselves by bringing us MK fans more gore filled,blood-soaked,gruesome Fatalities and Brutalities)-Outstanding Soundtrack(The music in this game is some of the best from the MK series by far. Just listen to Scorpion's Shirai Ryu Fire Garden stage! God bless the legend himself,Dan Fordan for bringing us another amazing MK soundtrack)-Roster(MK11 brings back a ton of fan favorites,a couple of obscure characters and a few new fighters. That was a grip of mine from MKX. There were way too many new characters in MKX,which mostly sucked. So,bringing back characters like Baraka,Skarlet,Jade,Kabal and Frost, was a real treat indeed!)Negatives:-Required Server (Online) Connection(This may be a nit pick for some, especially since it seems like mostly everyone has an online or Wi-Fi connection within their household, but there are still some people out there [including myself] who don't have the greatest of online connection or doesn't even have an internet connection at all. This is a BIG problem! Considering the fact that you HAVE to be connected to NRS' online servers constantly,to be able to even access the krypt, towers of time or even save your unlocked gear pieces, time crystals, soul fragments, hearts or koins, while playing offline. This is just completely unacceptable! Especially considering that Injustice 2's Multiverse, was available both online AND offline. You could also save your gear pieces, skins, currency and source crystals offline as well. Even though, the Towers of Time are timed events,so was the Multiverse in "Injustice 2". Even the Krypt was accessible in MKX without an online connection! This is just uncalled for! Only playable modes you have in offline for MK11 are, single fights, practice, story mode, klassic towers [traditional standard MK arcade ladders],training and Fatality practice. You'll acquire absolutely NO type of in-game currency while offline, whatsoever! This hurts MK11 in a HUGE WAY!)-GameplayI know not everyone will agree with me,but I personally preferred the fast paced and "up in your face" type of gameplay, which MKX had, compared to MK11's toned down slower fighting pace.-Limited Customization(For a game which advertised "kustomization" as one of it's main selling points,it's completely and totally lackluster and dull in comparison to [once again] "Injustice 2". Each gear piece in MK11 has little to no affect on your character, and is limited to only a few items [Scorpion's spear,Baraka's blades,Sub-Zero's mask,Kabal's hook swords, ect.] There are also cosmetics which you can unlock for each character, but they are really nothing more than a different color skin. The character intro and outro customization is fine, but once again, very limited with only a few options per character. There are also special moves customization as well. Which is fine and basically assigns your own little particular variation for your favorite character, but unfortunately, the limitation of special moves makes this feature become stale and boring pretty quickly)

Lots of content for a good price.
Good game, hours of entertainment but they labelled the discs wrongly. The play disc is the data disc and data disc is the play disc. It's a good price for the amount of content offered (the DLC's are all on the disc) - especially since I was stuck on what to buy for Christmas.

Awesome graphics and game play
This game is amazing. It carries a age restriction of 18 which is warranted as the violence has been upped a notch with the realistic 4k death moves. DO NOT Let youngsters play this game. I found my jaw drop on several occasions because of the violence. That being said, the game is excellent and those of us who are old enough will enjoy the fluidity of the game play and the jaw dropping graphics.

Violence and gore, blood and guts, lots of fun
I have been a fan of the series for years and this game does not disappoint. This version with both sets of added characters included for just over €30 delivered was a pretty good deal.Good value for money plenty of hours of enjoyment and have yet to play it online.

More Fatalities Than A Flawless Victory.
Mortal Kombat 11 : Ultimate Edition.Genre: Beat Em Up.PS4 Review. The Good.- Good Graphics & cut scenes.- Excellent Gameplay.- Varied Tower Challenges.- It Features Rambo, The Terminator & Robocop. The Bad.- A grind to unlock various collectables.- Poorly written storyline.- Certain combos are difficult to master.Timelords Thoughts.Mortal Kombat 11 is sadly a step back from the previous MK XL which was a fantastic game, MK 11 delivers better graphics & the gameplay for the most part is unchanged but sadly lacks a coherent engaging storyline & wokeness occasionally rears it's ugly head. The story mode is short at around 3-4 hours & the plot involves time travel & it gets very confusing, characters we've grown up loving are shamefully killed off & the only part that redeemed this story for me was the added DLC.Another issue i had with this game is the massive grind to unlock stuff via completing towers & earning currency, gems & hearts to unlock items in the Krypt such as fatalities, power ups or new skins (there's at least 20 for each character) this became quickly boring & even completing a tower doesn't give you much rewards so you have keep replaying the various Klassic Towers or the Towers Of Time over & over again but there's little added variation for each time you play except a brutality mode which is a nightmare. This version includes all the DLC so Rambo, The Terminator, Robocop are all here in game loaded from the disc not via codes & while there great additions especially for gamers like me who grew up in the 80's it doesn't take away from the fact gaming companies want players to payadditional money for loot via microtransactions when you've already spent between £50- £80 per game, also the game disc covers were labelled incorrectly on my game.Overall if your a Mortal Kombat fan you'll definitely want to play it & the fatalities & brutality finishing moves deliver excellent R rated carnage but i much prefered MK XL which is a far more enjoyable experience that i wanted to keep playing, sadly MK 11 didn't hook me as much & i grew quickly tiresome of the grind.
