I have track lighting in my home office that has used 50-watt halogen lamps. In addition to using more electricity than LED lighting the halogens give off a lot of heat which is bad in my office with no openable windows and poor a/c. These new lights use only 5.5 watts so will be much cooler yet give off more light than the originals (75 vs 50-watt equivalent).They are also dimmable, and I already have a compatible light switch. Payback in electricity costs will be a few years, but these should last for a decade at least and I will not have to get back up on a ladder to change bulbs.

It's a lightbulb. What can I say other than it does what it is supposed to do?

Price was good for a 4 pack. Very bright light. Got it for a 2 build disk to dawn light fixture over the garage door. Replaced one of the 2 and works wonderful.

Definitely not a 40 degree beam angle. I measured 40 degrees from the bulb and marked it on the ground. The primary light from the bulb is well over 40 degrees. Taking pictures at night of this bulb and a normal LED bulb and I could not tell the difference in the light pattern.I purchased these for a place that I wanted a smaller circle of light. Not the bulb for that job.
