No rust so far.
Have A porch door that popped open in strong winds. I was concerned about rust by using this in a semi- outside application. This worked great.Easy to install.

Worked great for my duck enclosure. Seasonal changes move the door a little, meaning the regular barrel bolt locks would get out of alignment with the striker plate and I was left huffing and puffing trying to get the door to lock. With these installed, no more of that.
