Pro:I got this for my work badge when my previous one broke. I definitely am hard on these badge holders between cleaning them with hospital grade wipes that tend to disintegrate things to constantly pulling on the reel. It is as pretty as it looks in the pictureCon:Not sure if it’s really a disadvantage but the clip is really tight. It’s great cause you know it won’t fall off like my previous holder used to especially during emergency situations. But it does grip so tight it can rip the v part off scrubs when you take it off multiple times. Sucks if you wear expensive scrubs.Overall it’s great and I would highly recommend it over other cheap ones that just fall off or fall apart

First of all, love the colors. I have owned these a couple weeks, therefore can't speak to their durability yet. However the reel works great so far. I give it 3 stars because the alligator clasp is like unnecessarily difficult to use. It's almost painful to my fingers to place the reel on my scrubs every morning. Just odd to me. Probably wouldn't purchase again and would like for another listing for this reason.

Not using this for anything super heavy duty, but it has held up well for my teacher badge and key set. I love that I don't have a lanyard constantly clanking around my neck. The alligator clip is a bit hard to pinch, so I would recommend some nimble hands while using it. On the aesthetic end of things, they're cute, but the image is flat. Don't expect gold glitter, but rather a gold color.I'm overall pleased with this purchase.

The actual product design of these badge holders is abysmal. Baffling alligator clip halves precariously clipped into a weird slit in a cheap plastic housing come loose intermittently, and when pulled to the full length, if pulled too tightly, the brittle, thin metal of the alligator clip halves breaks easily. Terrible product, and it’s probably worse that the designs are cute because they entice buyers to choose shoddy products that look nice. Please, if you want a functional retractable badge holder that won’t break and cause you to misplace your ID Badge, look elsewhere, because this thing absolutely blows.

I do not recommend this product if you actually plan on using it. I thought the clip would be the slide on style but it’s actually an “alligator clip” style - well, one half alligator and the other half two thin wires stuck inside - basically a recipe for disaster! 2 have already broken after 2 weeks of use. The worst part is, I can’t even glue it back together because of the mechanics of how it was made. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. I never leave bad reviews but this really get like flushing some $$$ down the toilet so do yourself the favor and skip out on this even if you think it’s cute!

Was excited to get these. I am a nurse and was looking to replace my old badge clip. These are very pretty, but the mental clips are not durable AT ALL. All of them broke within two days. Two broke within the same shift! The piece didn't just slide out of the plastic either, it broke in half rendering the entire clip completely useless. Very disappointed. Would not recommend except maybe for very gentle use.

My old badge holder could never stay closed. This bad boy not only stays close, but clips very well to my tops. I was afraid the clip would cut a hole in my tops. However, it is just alligator teeth enough to hold onto and not cut into my clothing. Something I appreciate very much.

They are super cute. Great price and quality. I definitely recommend.
