Wow! Ankylosing spondylitis relief
I have had ankylosing spondylitis for 20 years, I have as a consequence costocondritis and calcified bursitis in my shoulders, kythoptis and forward head posture as well as sacrilitis... I have tried chiropractors, resistance band training and all manner of medications for example methotrexate, steroids and biolgics, i cannot have NSAID's due to having Crohn's disease. I used to lift weights, go to the gym every day and run. Then the pain took over and I was on and off using mobility scooters and walking aids. Recently the stiffness has been travelling up my spine to my neck, my costocondritis and extreme spasms in my flank have really been difficult to live with. I purchased this, it arrived today. So far I have placed this at various positions along my back with pillows to support my head. At first I was unable to raise my arms above my head. Then just my left arm. While my right would only go up enough to rest my palm on my forehead. I couldn't extend my right arm outwards only upwards in front of my face before I had to stop. It is several hours later and I have been able to raise both my arms above my head without the pain including rotation in that bad shoulder. I also tried the pillow beneath my sacral joint. I have had considerable pain and restricted movement in my right hip for years. I am hopeful that with use I can, stretch out my ribs, sacrum and hips. Strengthen my neck, and release the locked up joints and ribs that have contributed to my curved stiff and inflexible joints. As I say, ive had just one 30 minute try of this. I included some chin tucks whilst the item was between my shoulder blades, Followed by a few hours of gentle movement. I can see the benefit potential and am looking forward to more evenings like this one. I feel less pain and looser less clicks and much releived. If you have been struggling for multiple decades with stiff sore and tight joints and muscles which causes secondary pain such as costocondritis and spasms around your flank. Then I have this one night feeling the relief I am now, this is worth every penny! I am tempted to try again but I don't wish to agrivate any joints. Tomorrow I'll try for longer in each position and hopefully manage to raise both arms to give my back a full stretch. I don't usually write such long reviews but I felt that this was amazing and although I read the reviews no one had mentioned my conditions and the results of this on them. My partner even mentioned i was standing taller this evening. NB: mine arrived with 2 long slip resistant grippers on the bottom so reviews noting that is was slippy, fear not, this has been remedied

The best thing for your back
This is exactly the same as the back pod only a little less expensive. It's the same price as a visit to the pyshio. I use this any time my back starts to feel stiff or sore. It is really a good product. I definitely recommend getting one.

Just buy the backpod if you're serious about Costochondritis treatment
This was a good starting point, but I ended up finding a person reselling their backpod for cheap. Just buy that instead. This product is not solid enough to have a meaningful impact.

I place this right between or slightly below the line between my shoulder blades and it resets my upper back & has been the cure for my costochondritis. Anytime I feel a little ache in my front ribs or floating ribs iny back, I can focus on using this back pod & it goes away. The relief is amazing since I lived with the pains for a long time before finding this. Also, when I feel like my whole upper back is jammed down, this opens everything up. I do think it takes awhile at first so just try it everyday until it becomes second nature and a quick release and relief as you’re further along in healing.

this is ok... its quite a bit harder than I expected... theres really no give to the plastic so its quite hard on the spine bones.. otherwise the size and shape are good to help stretch the back open

This thoracic pod is not worth the money. I have found a rolled-up towel works just as well.

I have shoulders that are rolled forward. I use this to help open up my shoulders and back to loosen up muscle tension to help adjust posture. My coworker had this product and its firmness was much greater than mines. When I first used his costoblock it was giving me amazing relief in tension and helped in correcting my posture. Unfortunately, after modifying my product Ive realized my costoblock’s firmness is significantly less than his. Very easy to use. All you do is lay on it. It will be highly uncomfortable but thats a part of this type of tools effect. Discomfort not pain.

I was surprised by the hardness of this … pillow … and showed it to my chiropractor before taking it out of the plastic. He was glad to see it, and suggested layering something on top to cushion it, like a washcloth or bubble wrap. The first time I used it, it felt like a rock against my bones. Using it sideways is much gentler than straight on. I have used it three or four times and my spine is already adapting. There is a little space now between the vertebrae for the edge to settle. I place it and lay back, adjusting a little to center it in the space and not on the bone. The first placement is the worst and I use a pillow under my head to keep my body weight off. I leave it there until my body relaxes or starts to relax around it, then reposition it for another spot and repeat the process. It ends up feeling so welcome and relief washes through me. It is worth it to reposition it into lumbar. Not gonna lie, it hurts at first. My upper back now has less pain during the day and I look forward to using it. Would pack for a vacation. Definitely recommend. Follow what your body needs and stay with it.
