Word Search for Kids Ages 6-8: 100 Word Search Puzzles (Search and Find)

Great for our kid who's learning how to read sight words, sounding out letters, etc. The font size is nice and big, easy to ready. Our kiddo can sit quietly for an hour+ searching for words and is extremely proud of herself when she completes a page.

This word search book is aimed at 6-8 year olds but I also think children up to 10 would enjoy it and find the vocabulary and spelling aids useful. Some of the words may be difficult for 6 years old to read and understand. I would use this as a way to help expand their vocabulary, reading, and spelling of common words. My nephew is almost 8 and has always loved word games etc. He played on lots of apps on his tablet but now loves this book and does a word search or two every day!I really like how the word searches are laid out. Each has a different theme (fruit, shoes, music, etc) and lists 10 words to be found in the word search. They start off easier with a 10x10 square and large letters. By the end of the book, it’s 15x15 with smaller letters and longer words/phrases to find. I really like this progression because it keeps the word searches interesting and kids motivated to try harder ones once they’ve become confident with the easier word searches.There aren’t any page numbers but I would guess there are at least 100-word searches in this book. It’s a very affordable price for so many hours of fun!

This is a daily go to when my kids need a break from the iPads and tv. I love having them do what I did as a kid. It challenges their focus, encourages their drive, and allows them to be explores in a sense. Would definitely recommend this activity for kids.

This book of word searches is great for kids of all ages! Each puzzle has a category with ten words to find and they can be found going in any direction, including backwards. The words in each category are great for building kids’ vocabulary! The letters within the puzzles are big and bold and easy to read. The puzzles in the latter portion of the book have more letters to make finding the words more challenging as kids get used to searching. As a bonus, each puzzle also has a corresponding picture related to the theme that kids can color! This is a great book to keep kids busy and engaged for hours!!

This is a good word search book for kids, filled with fun puzzles that gradually go from larger type with easy-to-find words to smaller, more complex puzzles. The only criticism I have is that there is no answer key at the end. Most word search puzzle books have an answer section at the end showing players where are the words are. So if you are getting this book for a child with reading or spelling problems or a child who is a reluctant reader, they won't have the satisfaction of checking their puzzle-solving abilities when they are done with the puzzle. Or if they have trouble finding a particular word, they won't be able to look at the solution in the back for a hint as where the word can be found. For kids, this is kind of a big deal because they like and need the positive feedback.

It actually helps my daughter learn even more words and how to spell. I have her do a couple pages a day especially now in the summer

Word Search for Kids Ages 6-8 is a great mix of topics with different difficulty levels of search words. I really like how the first section has the word search in very large and bold letters but as you flip through the pages there are more letters in the search bringing more of a challenge. The quality of this book is high. Since the book is made of thick paper, a highlighter can be used, and it won’t bleed through the page. I deeply appreciate how the topics of the word search are found on the top with the words to find are at the bottom next to a few cute images that match the theme. Plus, everything is printed clearly and opaque. I really recommend this word search book. Definitely going to implement it for my classroom activities on Fun Fridays!

My 2nd grade granddaughter found this book a lot of fun.

Take to restaurants, on vacation etc for quiet time play. Also good as a joint activity with an adult. Uses concentration, focus and spelling skills. Can start and stop unlike an actual game if food arrives, travel interruptions. Take along small restaurant style package of crayons and set to go.

My little girl was disappointed that she didn't find the solution in the book.

Bought this for my 7 year old boy as he likes wordsearches. He really likes it. My 6 year old boy has also gotten into them with this book. What's nice is the wordsearches are about things they would know about, most wordsearch books for kids are about topics they would have no clue about. The wordsearches are easier at the beginning and harder at the end, so they can work their way through. Glad I bought it
