Work great!! Allows user to not only listen to TV, but can also use attached microphone to "hear" conversations of those nearby
My grandfather was having MAJOR hearing issues. He had the volume on the TV turned up to 100 - it was maxed out, making conversation in the room impossible, yet my grandfather still couldn't hear the television. He also couldn't hear conversations around him (when the TV was off, of course), leaving him depressed and isolated. I purchased this product after reading the reviews of many, many products. These headphones have plugged my grandfather back into the world. He can now hear the television, allowing him to watch the news (which he watches frequently), as well as his favorite shows. He also loves the microphone feature. He can now participate in the conversations going on around him. He can hear what others are saying! These headphones are amazing! I was so worried about my grandfather - his rapid hearing loss (due to a bout of pneumonia) had him so very depressed. Now, he's looking forward to his appointment with the ENT specialist (hoping for hearing aids now), and listening avidly to the goings on around him.

Great for the hard of hearing!
These headphones work great. I bought them for my 90+ year old father so he can hear and understand the TV without having it so loud that it drives his neighbors at the assisted living facility he lives at away. It is his second pair as the first pair broke (a design flaw perhaps as they must be slightly pulled apart to put on one's ears) Overall, though, the sound quality is very good and although he doesn't use this feature, they can be worn while listening to conversation by others in the room as well.

Best so far!
Only had this for about a month now, but my Aunt, who has severe hearing loss, loves it and says its way better than TV Ears. Also, with this one its not IR so you don't have sit like a statue facing the IR receivers like on the TV Ears and thus are free to walk in and out of the room. Lastly, the price is much better than TV Ears. So all in all it looks like TV Ears finally has some competition.

I purchased this for an elder lady to listen to her TV without it blaring in the room. Her grandson bought her a surround sound system and she didn't like it.It took up too much room and it was still loud in her living room. She wanted something else. She likes this. It doesn't take up a lot of room and it came with headphones, two rechargeable batteries, connectors to connect it to your TV and the battery charger/transmitter. It's nice.

Good but not great
The work well, but have several drawbacks. One, if you plug the base in your TV set, the TV switches from its speakers to the headphones, so if anyone else is watch they won't hear anything. You'll need a Y-splitter and a pair of external speakers so more than one person can listen. If for a single hearing impaired person, then you won't need a elaborate set up. Also, the ear plugs and get a bit tiresome. My mom could only wear them for an hour before having taking a break.

Peace and Quiet in My Home
My husband suffered sudden hearing loss on one ear years ago. He was keeping the TV so loud it is about to shattered my eardrumbs. This is a fantastic piece of equipment. You dont need bluetooth or any other type of wireless connections. You just plug it in the audio out on your tv and a power outlet and it works. You can use control each ear volume or ever just use it on one ear like he does. I would recommend this headphones to anyone needing more listening pleasure or giving others the privacy and comfort they deserve.

she tried this and says they are much more comfortable and can use them as long as she likes
I bought this for my wife as she likes to stream music a lot, she complained that they were uncomfortable for extended wear, and after i looked at them, I suggested she turn them around as they seemed to have the earbuds pointing the wrong way and are not adjustable, she tried this and says they are much more comfortable and can use them as long as she likes. these could be better if they were adjustable at the earbuds or the preset angle was reversed

A good product. Meets a need.
A good product. When shows have a very dense soundtrack with lots of music under it can be difficult to make out the conversation no matter what gizmo you have. This one is relatively comfortable to wear and has decent range.
