Seat Cover Red XR650L 93-13

The picture does not show the seat you will be getting. It’s an off color red seat. It is the exact color of my stock 1994 xr650l seat. Not like the cool two tone black and red one shown.The good news is it is high quality, and relatively easy to install. Looks great and worth the money.

One thing that falls under the category of buyer error, is that I thought I was getting the black and red version because they use a generic picture in the add. I ended up with the solid red cover and after looking into it, realized that is indeed what I had ordered. The main difference between the original and the replacement is that the replacement has seams and the original does not. After trying and failing with a hand held then electricp staplegun I bought an air powered staple gun that takes T-50 size staples and I was in business. I tried doing it the way the directions said but for the life of me was not able to get the front piece over the "horn". I pulled the staples out and started from the front working my way to the back and it was fine. If you are anal about how the bottom of your seat pan looks, then this might be a PIA. I am willing to ignore the fact that the bottom of my seat pan looks like it was involved in some kind of staplegeddon incident and found it to work pretty well.Overall, the seat has held up well for me and after daily riding over the summer I haven't seen any obvious wear.
