AC welding rod 3/32" 5 lb
AC welding rod 3/32 5 lb. Husband says rod welded really nicely. Worked as it should. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. For some reason our shopper ranks are no longer visible - so, to give you a little more info about me, I am a top 50 reviewer (#30 the highest rank achieved). Those numbers used to fluctuate over time - up and down but I noticed that they stopped updating regularly - perhaps to phase them out. It's a shame because it did help you see who has been around the longest and who is a trustworthy reviewer. I've been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - nearly 6,000 reviews posted, viewed over 50,000 times, and over 24,000 likes. I pay for all my stuff, just like you do.

If you know how to weld, they work great.
Had no issues with the rods. I was worried that possibly the flux would be cracking, from shipping, but no issues.

Easy restarts.
This is this the easiest to restart 7018 I've ever used. I don't know if that's good or bad.

Would have been a great deal if they arrived intact.
These rods were a decent buy from Amazon and work great for the most part. My only complaint is not so much directed at the product, but rather the condition that it was delivered in. I opened the pack and knew I was in trouble when pile of flux chips came out of the container. It appears as if the package had be dropped numerous times on a hard surface and about 80% of the rods were missing flux on the first inch or two of the each rods. I cut off the bad ends with a grinder and most of the sticks were still in usable condition. I did like the case they came in and was one of the factors in my decision to keep them rather then doing a return.

delivery
I haven't tried the welding rods yet, but must comment of the poor delivery we experienced. The product arrived on time, I expect, but the driver didn't ring the doorbell, and the box was left in an area that was moisture laden. The welding rods are very sensitive to moisture, so I am worried they will have been ruined as a result, since we didn't see the package till next morning. Not a good situation!

7018 1/8 forney welding sticks
I’m not a professional by any means but my experience they work ok to bubble gun together. They create a lot of spatter and don’t create a nice consistent weld like a Lincoln. The Lincoln ones are hands down better so will not be buying these again.

Flux characteristics-Terrible
Cheap, yes. Good, No. Definitely not worth using, the flux in all positions, even flat will have the flux separate from the molten metal and leads infront of the puddle which causes you to have to weld over slag constantly or run a bead too fast to put any weld metal down and create any fusion. 0 stars for functionality but its cheap...

Good rod
Works well in all 3 position that I've used it in. Flat, horizontal and vertical. I like the container that it came in with. Ready to order more"
