Fashionable and Functional
I am finally back riding my Trek hardtail and unfortunately when I had my Jeep parked at Home Depot with my bike locked up on the back, some crack head stole my seat and seat post via the quick release. I remember when these type of struts came out but I never saw the need for my style of riding. This post fit perfectly and it is nice to sort of have some sort of shock absorption but to be honest when I am riding rocking portions on singletrack, my butt is never on the seat. But, it LOOKS GOOD and that is worth something! This shipped very fast and high quality!

Ride with comfort adjust it for stiffness.
This seat pose is made of great quality. It was very ultra quiet. Adjustable as needed for comfort. It looked cool with the different color options to match my electric bike. It didn't add any weight to complain about whatsoever. I believe it is great quality and a good addition to a ride. It did not bottom out for a 197 pound rider. Worth the money if it works for you.

Very happy for what it cost
Struggle rating this as if you understand what your getting, this is great. For the price, this is a five star product. This however is not a substitute for the more expensive options and will not come close to there performance.I run a kinekt post on my main bike and it is amazing for comfort (not so much for weight and price). For another bike that isn't rode as much, i got this as it is cheap and better than nothing. In that context, this is a five star product, if your expecting performance of a higher end system, this is a two star product.Recommend if the bike isn't where you want to put your money.

Fit my ebike perfectly! Provides great cushioning
I am retired. My body is not as flexible as when I was younger, and I can't take a lot of bumping and jolting like it used to. But I love to ride my bike, which means that bumps and jolts are part of the experience. A friend recommended this seat post, and I am so glad he did. It really cushions the ride and makes it far more comfortable. I have shock struts on the front wheel but the rear of the bike has no shock absortion, so you feel every crack on the sidewalk, and every little pothole on the road. This really smooths them out!The seat post was easy to install. You remove the old seat from the old post, and then slide the new post, with the seat, into the down tube. It took all of 5 minutes. It fit my down tube perfectly, but it is good to know what diameter post you need, so you order the correct one.

Well Made, But I Can't Use It!
We have two high-quality bike's that we ride. The first was made by Dynamic (no longer selling retail, corporate only) that came with a suspension seatpost that makes the bike very comfortable to ride on the broken pavement that our city calls "streets." The second bike is a high-end Montague, with an 11-speed Nexus hub and hydraulic disc brakes. Unfortunately, it did not come with a suspension seatpost, so between the aluminum frame and 60lb-plus inflated tires it rides pretty rough here in town. Did some research and ordered one of DJC's suspension seatposts. The Montague's seatpost down-tube needed a 30mm post, and DJC was one of the few that offered a post in that size (by using a tube-shim). Very easy to swap out and install on the bike. The DJC is very handsomely made, using nice quality aluminum and steel materials, all finished very well. It offers the option to adjust how it reacts to bumps by way of a hex-wrench "nut" in the bottom of the post itself, which alters the tension on a compression cushion inside the post by way of a spring that's compressed by that hex-wrench nut. It's well-thought out, well-designed and well-executed. But we can't use it! Why? Because the DJC seatpost has a large "collar" at the top of the outer tube of the post that the upper part slides down into. This collar stops the seatpost tube from simply disappearing down into the frame tube, so it's a really important part of the seatpost. The collar stops the post by butting up against the frame tube at the "pinch bolt" of the bike frame (the part that "locks" the seatpost at the correct height for the rider). The pinch bolt collar is rather substantial in size itself (making it strong and reliable), so it's also on the tall side. This means that between the two collars (seatpost's tube collar and bike's seatpost frame pinch bolt collar) the seat cannot be lowered enough so that my wife can actually fit on the bike safely to ride it. Obviously, the original seatpost (non-suspension type) didn't have this limitation as it is simply a straight tube that will slide all the way down into the frame. This allows the seat to be lowered all the way down until it's sitting on the top frame tube. So why am I explaining all of this? I want to be fair to the DJC seatpost because it is a very well made and quality product for a great price, but it simply can't be adjusted low enough for my wife to use on her bike. This is a real shame, but it in no way should be considered a negative on the DJC component. We really wanted this to work, but unfortunately it isn't possible.

Best budget seat post
Very pleased. You cannot beat it for the money. It does add significant height so if you are running your seat post at its lowest height than this is not a good choice.

Perfectly fit my Lectric XP 3.0
Helps with the lack of rear suspension. Not as bouncy as I thought but still gets the job done. The seat angle is slightly different than it should be with the narrow front part a bit elevated. I might end up getting another type if I can’t find a way to adjust it.
