Castleton Farm Strawberry Glazing Jelly 200g

I wanted to have a go at making strawberry tarts but struggled to find a sauce at a reasonable price. Then I found this. It is sweet but not excessively and works very well. Now all I have to do is get the hang of the pastry. lol

Very tasty but not like the strawberry tart sauce. Probably better quality . Its lovely on ice cream

Flavour is nice, however it is not suitable to use on tarts as I had planned. It's like very watery jam.

I love this product and at one time could only get it if I went over to Aberdeenshire. Summer strawberry tart not the same with out it

After reading the reviews, I was expecting that jelly-like consistency and flavour you get with a traditional fresh cream strawberry tart, it's nothing like that. It's basically just strawberry jam which you can make yourself at home but I would never want to use jam because it's not the flavour I want. Also, worryingly, there are NO safety/tamper-proof seals anywhere - not round the nozzle or on top of the bottle opening. Be aware that these are not eligible for return so you will have to raise concerns with amazon directly which is what I will be doing.

great item and can be used the day before if tarts are put in fridge its still ok
