Very low resistance battery switch option!
I purchased these for a car with an intermittent vampire drain on the battery. It would always disappear whenever I started pulling fuses and metering things. Instead I just got a battery switch. These were very easy to install since they use the factory post terminals. You may need to bend your factory wire a little bit since the post will now be horizontal instead of vertical, but mine was a breeze to do.I first tried a knife style battery switch, but it didn't last long and the connection was getting loose. I have a stereo in my car that can draw upwards of 100amps at once, and I was getting a heck of a voltage drop over the knife switch. No such problem with these screw terminals. They make a really nice tight connection and I don't see any additional voltage drop through them. They also won't wear as quickly because they don't rely on spring action like the knife switches.Had them for about 4 months now with no issues. Will update the review if I find any in future.

2.5 year update
I put these on a diesel truck that I only drive when I am hauling my trailer/camper which is only once every month if that to keep from draining my batteries when not in use to keep clock etc going It’s easier to turn a screw than break out tools to disconnect 2 batteries every time We’ll all was great until the past few months My truck started having issues with the starter and acting like the batteries were weak so I charged both but that was not the issue I could shut the truck off after driving for hours with the alternator putting out 13+ volts (watching programmer monitor) and have a no crank no start right after with 2 hot batteries Well I found out that these built up some corrosion and were not making a good connection If I ran the screws in and out several times to “clean” the connection point the truck would fire right up no problems So yea these worked for years but now having issues with them I understand things don’t last forever and I will either replace these or find a way to clean the connection point up somehow but if you start having issues down the road this is your problem

The shipping was fast. They look identical to the picture on the website and seem decently well made. They fit fine, went on easy and best of all, a 1/4 turn and no more dead batteries. I mounted it on an old tractor I have. Takes about 5 minutes to install. The screw/knob section is removable for a "theft deterent". I would most likely misplace it if I did that, so that is not an option I will explore, but it is an option if you are so inclined. Happy so far.

Product should have been one piece instead of two. Very poorly engineered .

It does the job
I decided to try using this instead of a dribbler for my battery in a rarely used car. Instantly disconnected. when I reconnected the battery was still fresh and ready to start car.

Has wrong thread pitch.
The quality of these is just okay but the biggest issue is that the thread pitch for the bolt to connect to the battery is wrong and will not even screw into the battery. This also means that the connection from where the battery cable screws into the disconnect switch is wrong. Because it's a sloppy fit you can actually connect them but you will never get a tight secure fit. And while you will get away with that most of the time. At some point when you need every bit of battery juice to start the engine you're not going to get it. It also increases the likelihood of corrosion on the connections.
