Makes every child giggle

This book is hard to find because it is pretty old. The pictures are a little plain for todays standards but has such a great message, kids like the humorous ideas. It’s a great spring board book for student writing. I sent this to a friend who was recovering from a terrible accident with a suggestion of realizing all the fortunate events that came after each misfortune.

I had thought about this book off and on for years. Never knew the title from grade school. I did a search and found it. I’m so pleased I did.

Love this story but the board book is SO big and chunky. The version I've borrowed from the library is much better suited for reading to a group of kids. Oh well.

cute little book but there is no story. just to be admired by adults. not for kids.

Fortunately / Unfortunately is one of my favourite creative writing games and this book provides really good scaffolding for it. Very easy to understand and children catch on very quickly and are able to extend the ideas.
