I've been into surface RC-IGN now for about two years. As I've progressed through the hobby and learned things. One of the most often overlooked things is connectors. When you start using high Amp ESC's &a motors, it's inevitable that a lot of the "stock" connectors are usually either Deans or cheap knock offs. Either way I have found them to not be sufficient when using high draw electronics. Also, Deans have a tendency of wearing out quite fast and lose their ability to remain connected. I have 37 RC's. Most of which are 1/8 scale MT's, Truggies and some crawlers. Upgrading ALL my RC's to XT-90's and XT-150's has proven the right thing for me to do. I've had zero issues with overheating failed connections and loss of power ever since I made the switch. XT-90's are usually more than adequate for multiple applications. I would recommend that if you decide to go with this type of connector. Make sure you buy the original ones and not the cheaper knock offs. Even the off brand ones still fetch a premium as far as price is concerned. Just do your research and get the right ones. Also make sure when you buy them. You get the complete sets that include the "boots" or the third piece bottom covers. They are a great addition instead of shrink wrap on the wires. Have fun all!!

Great for use in high amperage applications. Use plenty of Flux when tinning tips. Also connect the pieces together when soldering to help disperse heat. These suckers are thick and require plenty of heat. I'd recommend a high-powered soldering set up. I don't think a pen-style iron would cut it.

I purchased these battery plugs to go with some Venom Pro Drone batteries that I purchased. I needed to put a plug on an F550 hex and to build a couple of charger adapters.They arrived quickly, and are TOP NOTCH plugs. These are the real deal, and include the back adapter parts that cover the area where you solder the wire onto the plug. They look really good when you get them put together.They were easy to solder, go together easily, and seem very well made. Oh, one thing I'd like to mention, you CAN use these plugs with batteries that are coming with the "no spark" XT90 plugs...the no spark only is on one side of the plug, so these will work if you have a battery that has the XT90-s plug on it.Highly recommended.

Great quality. Came with caps to cover solder connections on both the male and female plugs. I still used heat shrink over the soldered areas, so if you do that you'll need to mind the order you place them on the wire before soldering.Soldering these is a little tougher than XT60 since getting the terminal hot enough at same time as tinned 10awg wire can be tricky. Otherwise, they fit right into the plugs on my Arrma Talion V3

Good product. However, make sure when soldering that you use the minimum temperature necessary for your solder alloy and the minimum time needed to make solid connections. Otherwise, like me, you'll wind up melting the plastic and trashing a connector.

I just got back into rc and first time electric rc. I had 2 cars and batteries with different connectors . these worked great and now all my cars and batteries have the same connectors.
