Chlorella provides a means to bind toxins, especially heavy metals. It is so effective that one must be concerned about getting mercury and other metals from the chlorellla tablets. The first brand I used, from Dr. Mercola, is harvested from seawater near Japanese islands, but there are multiple recent papers showing high dissolved metal concentrations in those same waters. I was unable to find any independent lab test results showing the mercury concentration in the Mercola chlorella formulation.After some additional research, I selected the formulation offered by Allergy Research Group. They call it KingChlorella, it uses freshwater-grown chlorella with Lactobacillus powder. They filter the water and test for mercury, and claim less than 1 PPB (0.001 PPM) mercury and other heavy metals in the product. That is near the practical detection limit.ARG uses an ultrasonic process to break the cell walls that they claim is superior to the grinding process used by most. I was unable to find independent verification of that claim.I've found several research papers documenting significant increase in Lactobacillus growth rates when exposed to chlorella growth factor.So the ARG formulation of chlorella both absorbs toxins in the gut and stimulates the growth of beneficial gut flora, and is tested for mercury contamination. I thought it was a nice synergy.

I love this nutricology kingchlorella. I chew the tablets and I truly like the taste. They do turn your teeth green. I try to wait before brushing them. If I'm not leaving the house, they can stay green. (who cares) I'm over 60 and developed varicose veins. Big, ugly, bulging, twisting ones. They have calmed down as a result of taking these tabs. They do not bulge anymore. I also wanted help with the old mercury fillings.

Acid reflux plagued me at night after going to bed. It was particularly bad if I had eaten too much for dinner, or something very sweet and sugary before bedtime. Both of these things are very bad habits that I have learned since not to indulge in. However, for those times when I'd get an acid reflux attack, I decided to try Chlorella b/c it is absorbent. Sure enough, within a minute, my acid reflux was gone. For dosage, I take a teaspoon's worth of tablets whatever size they come in. (That fits in the palm of my hand, or @ 1 tsp.) If the reflux does not subside quickly, I take another 1/2 dose, but that is a rare occasion. I have told a few doctors about my treatment for acid reflux. They always look surprised. One said, "Chlorella is not meant for acid reflux." But I replied, "But it works!" And I will add that it is non-toxic, plant based, has no aluminum like so many reflux over-the-counter meds, its not a drug. Works 100% for me every time. It has never failed to end my reflux immediately.

I have been taking this for years. It helps nutrients to be absorbed in our cells and acts as a safe chelation agent to help remove toxic metals. I will use this for the rest of my life for good health and safety precaution from unwanted toxins.

Yes This is the one that breaks up in your system so you can absorb the nutrients the best, should realize the difference in 20 minutes on an empty stomach...fyi

I have tried many different brands of chlorella over many decades...For the most part, it's difficult to tell onebrand from another. Or if they do anything at all... This bottle of Nutricology seems very good...It tastes betterthan other brands of chlorella and it gave me a feeling of well being. My skin started looking better after a few short days and I started sleeping better. Pooping better as well. Having a good bacteria added to the formula is a big plus for me. I feel nobody ever gets enough probiotics. I think I like this brand better than the others I've tried. I'm taking 6 pills per day although with other formulas, I worked my way up to 15 pills...So far, I'm happy with these pills....but this is the first week I'm taking this. I can't find a single negative thing to say.
